STAMFORD, Conn. – June 13, 2019 – U.S. track champion Noah Lyles and 2016 Rio Olympians Christian Coleman and Sydney McLaughlin highlight Olympic sports programming this week across NBC Sports. All Olympic sports coverage televised and streamed across NBC Sports platforms is presented by Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA.

The Boost Boston Games, an annual track and field event in which athletes compete on a temporary elevated straight track constructed on Boylston Street in Boston’s Copley Square, will air live on NBC this Sunday, June 16, at 4:30 p.m. ET. Noah Lyles will attempt to defend his 2018 Boost Boston Games title in the men’s 150m, while American Sharika Nelvis headlines the women’s 100m hurdles, an event she has won five times in Diamond League meets.

The IAAF Diamond League Track & Field season continues this week from Oslo, Norway with live coverage today, Thursday, June 13, at 2 p.m. ET on NBCSN and NBC Sports Gold. NBC will present an encore presentation on Saturday, June 15, at 4 p.m. ET.

2016 Rio Olympians Christian Coleman and Sydney McLaughlin are both expected to compete in Oslo. Coleman, the 60m indoor world record holder, is expected to compete in the 100m, an event in which he placed second at his first Diamond League meet of the season in Shanghai, in a photo finish against fellow American Lyles. The 19-year-old McLaughlin will compete in the 400m hurdles after finishing second in the 400m at her Diamond League debut in May.

Paul Swangard will call the action for both Diamond League and the Boost Boston Games, joined by four-time Olympic medalist Ato Boldon and analyst Josh Cox.

The TYR Pro Swim Series concludes this weekend with its fifth and final stop in Clovis, California, headlined by four-time Olympic gold medalist Matt Grevers.

Live TV coverage begins tonight, Thursday, June 13, at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN and concludes on NBCSN on Friday, June 14, at 8 p.m. ET. Jason Knapp will call both days alongside three-time Olympic gold medalist and U.S. Olympic Hall of Fame member Rowdy Gaines.

 

MARE NOSTRUM SWIMMING – BARCELONA, SPAIN

OLYMPIC CHANNEL: HOME OF TEAM USA PRESENTS LIVE COVERAGE ON SATURDAY, JUNE 15, AT 11 A.M. ET AND SUNDAY, JUNE 16, AT 11 A.M. ET

The annual Mare Nostrum Swimming Tour began Saturday, June 8 in Monte Carlo and spans three different cities over a nine-day period, concluding this Sunday, June 16, in Barcelona, Spain. 2018 U.S. champion Michael Andrew is expected to lead the Americans, while Great Britain’s Adam Peaty, who holds world records in the 50m breaststroke and 100m breaststroke, and Russia’s Yulia Efimova, a three-time Olympic medalist, are expected to headline the international contingent.

Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA presents live coverage of the Mare Nostrum Swimming Tour from Barcelona this Saturday, June 15, at 11 a.m. ET, and concludes Sunday, June 16, at 11 a.m. ET with the final day.

 

VOLLEYBALL NATIONS LEAGUE

COVERAGE CONTINUES FRIDAY, JUNE 14, AT 8 P.M. ET ON OLYMPIC CHANNEL: HOME OF TEAM USA

The FIVB Volleyball Nations League is a global tournament spanning nearly two months, comprising 260 total matches. Sixteen nations per gender play 15 matches each during pool play, which lasts five weeks. The top five teams from the preliminary rounds will compete in the VNL Final Six along with host nations China (women’s) and the United States (men’s). The U.S. women, who are defending Nations League champions, are now 9-3. The U.S. men won the bronze medal last year and are currently 2-4 after two weeks of play. The U.S. men, which as hosts of the VNL Final Six have an automatic entry into the finals, continue their tournament on Friday.

Coverage of the women’s competition continues this Friday at 8 p.m. ET on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA with USA vs. host nation China.

 

WORLD ARCHERY CHAMPIONSHIPS – ‘S-HERTOGENBOSCH, NETHERLANDS

COVERAGE BEGINS SATURDAY, JUNE 15, AT 5 P.M. ET ON OLYMPIC CHANNEL: HOME OF TEAM USA

The World Archery Championships are held every other year, with more than 600 athletes competing in the event. There are 56 spots for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics available to be earned at this year’s championships. Brady Ellison, a three-time Olympic medalist for the United States, is expected to contend for his first individual world title.

TV coverage begins Saturday, June 15, at 5 p.m. ET with the compound finals on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA. The recurve finals will air on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA on Sunday, June 16 at 5 p.m. ET and be shown on NBCSN on Monday, June 17 at 6 p.m. ET.

 

WORLD CUP SAILING – MARSEILLE, FRANCE

Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA Presents Coverage on Friday, June 14, at 7 P.M. ET

Marseille, France, the sailing venue for the 2024 Paris Olympics, hosted 325 sailors from 40 nations for the World Cup Series Final. Three-time American Olympian Stuart McNay headlines the competition in the Men’s 470 (two-person dinghy).
