 STAMFORD, Conn. – June 5, 2019 – Beginning tomorrow, June 6, NBC Sports presents live coverage of the final rounds of the 2019 French Open from Roland-Garros in Paris, France. The Grand Slam culminates with the women’s final live on Saturday, June 8, at 9 a.m. ET and the men’s final live on Sunday, June 9, at 9 a.m. ET on NBC.

Coverage continues on NBC tomorrow, Thursday, June 6, at 11 a.m. (all time zones, live ET) with quarterfinal matches that were rained out on Wednesday. In the men’s draw tomorrow, Novak Djokovic, winner of the past three Grand Slam titles (2019 Australian Open, 2018 US Open and 2018 Wimbledon), will face Alexander Zverev while 2018 French Open finalist Dominic Thiem matches up against Karen Khachanov. In the women’s quarterfinals, American Madison Keys, who reached the 2018 French Open semifinals, faces Ashleigh Barty and 17-year old American Amanda Anisimova will play defending Roland-Garros champion Simona Halep for a place in the semifinals.

This Friday, June 7, the men’s and women’s semifinal round will be carried live on the East Coast at 11 a.m. ET on NBC. Live coverage on Thursday and Friday will also be available across the country on NBCSN at 11 a.m. ET/8 a.m. PT.

Two of the four semifinal matches for Friday are already set, headlined by the 13th Grand Slam meeting between Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer. Nadal, who has won a record 11 French Open titles (2005-2008, 2010-2014, 2017-2018), including the past two at Roland-Garros, and Federer, who has won the most career Grand Slam singles titles by a male player with 20, will face off at Roland-Garros for the sixth time and their first since the 2011 final. Nadal has won all five of their previous French Open matches and has won 23 of their 38 overall career meetings, including holding a 13-2 edge on clay.

In the women’s draw, Johanna Konta, who has previously reached the semifinals of the Australian Open (2016) and Wimbledon (2017), faces 19-year old Marketa Vondrousova, who is making her first appearance in a Grand Slam semifinal.

NBC AND THE FRENCH OPEN: In 1975, NBC became the first American television network to provide coverage of the French Open when the network signed a three-year deal with the French Tennis Federation.  The tournament was covered by CBS from 1980-82 and returned to NBC in 1983, where it has remained since. This is NBC’s 37^th consecutive year televising the event.
