STANLEY CUP FINAL GAME 4 – BRUINS-BLUES – TONIGHT AT 8 P.M. ET ON NBC
The Bruins took the Stanley Cup Final lead with a commanding 7-2 Game 3 victory over the Blues at Enterprise Center on Saturday night. Boston went 4-for-4 on the power play on its way to taking a 2-1 lead in the series. Defenseman Torey Krug scored one of the power-play goals and had the primary assist on the three others. With one goal and three assists, Krug became the first player in franchise history to record four points in a single game during the Stanley Cup Final. All four of Krug’s points came on the power play, making him the 4th player in NHL history to record 4 power-play points in a Stanley Cup Final game. Patrice Bergeron, David Pastrnak and Marcus Johansson also scored power-play goals, and goalie Tuukka Rask made 27 saves for Boston in the win. The series stays in St. Louis tonight for Game 4 on NBC.
Tonight’s coverage will include a number of St. Louis and Blues-centric elements, including features on 11-year-old Laila Anderson, a Blues super-fan who is battling a rare disease called HLH, a systemic inflammatory syndrome. There will also be features on Blues goalie Jordan Binnington, whose path to the Stanley Cup Final first took him through the Bruins’ minor league system, as well as Bruins defenseman Torey Krug, who made history for the Bruins in Game 3 with his power-play performance.
NHL Live pre-game coverage will also include interviews with top American 2019 NHL Draft prospects Jack Hughes and Alex Turcotte, leading up to draft day on June 21-22. St. Louis Cardinals pitcher Adam Wainwright is expected to join the set prior to Game 4 to discuss how the city of St. Louis has rallied behind the Blues throughout their playoff run.
