STAMFORD, Conn. – May 29, 2019 – Olympic swimming gold medalists Ryan Murphy and Lilly King and U.S. track champion Ajeé Wilson highlight extensive Olympic sports programming this week across NBC Sports platforms. All Olympic sports coverage televised and streamed across NBC Sports platforms is presented by Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA.

Live TV coverage of the FINA Champions Swim Series continues this weekend across NBC Sports with the last stop of the series in Indianapolis, beginning Friday, May 31 at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN and concluding Saturday, June 1 at 7 p.m. ET on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA.

The new three-meet series features a nontraditional format with only four swimmers per final and prize money for the competitors in the invitation-only events. Three-time Olympic gold medalist Murphy and two-time Olympic gold medalist King are among the American headliners in the field. King will compete against Russia’s Yulia Efimova, her rival who won two silver medals at the 2016 Rio Olympics.

Live coverage on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA will stream on OlympicChannel.com and the Olympic Channel app, in addition to NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app. Coverage on NBCSN will live stream on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app.

In addition, NBC Sports continues live coverage of the IAAF Diamond League season from Stockholm, Sweden tomorrow, Thursday, May 30 at 2 p.m. ET on NBCSN and NBC Sports Gold. The Diamond League consists of 12 track and field meets leading up to two finals, with 32 disciplines evenly distributed among the meets. Wilson, who currently holds the indoor American record in the 800m, is expected to headline a strong American contingent, including women’s 100m hurdles world record holder Keni Harrison and 2018 NCAA champion Michael Norman in the men’s 400m.

Paul Swangard will call the action, joined by four-time Olympic medalist Ato Boldon and analyst Josh Cox.

VOLLEYBALL NATIONS LEAGUE

TV COVERAGE BEGINS TONIGHT AT 8 P.M. ET ON OLYMPIC CHANNEL: HOME OF TEAM USA

The FIVB Volleyball Nations League is a global tournament spanning nearly two months and comprising 260 total matches. Sixteen nations per gender play 15 matches each during pool play with the top five teams from the preliminary rounds competing in the VNL Final Six along with host nations China (women’s) and the United States (men’s). The U.S. women are defending Nations League champions and went undefeated in their first round of pool play last week. The U.S. men won the bronze medal last year and will open their tournament against Brazil this weekend.

TV coverage of the women’s competition begins tonight at 8 p.m. ET on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA with USA vs. Serbia and continues Thursday at 8 p.m. ET with USA vs. Italy. TV coverage of the men’s competition begins with USA vs. Poland on Sunday, June 2 at 8 p.m. ET on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA.
FISE ACTION SPORTS WORLD SERIES – MONTPELLIER, FRANCE

LIVE COVERAGE BEGINS TOMORROW, THURSDAY MAY 30 AT 9 A.M. ET ON OLYMPICCHANNEL.COM AND THE OLYMPIC CHANNEL APP

The 2019 FISE Action Sports World Series continues with its second stop in Montpellier, France, where nearly 600,000 spectators are expected over five days of competition. The event will feature BMX, bouldering, parkour, and skateboarding competitions. Results from the BMX freestyle World Cup event will be factored into Olympic qualification rankings for the 2020 Tokyo Games. Reigning world champion Justin Dowell is expected to lead the Americans in BMX freestyle in Montpellier.

Live coverage of the FISE Action Sports World Series begins tomorrow at 9 a.m. ET with the Snipes and Skateboard Street Pro Semifinal on OlympicChannel.com and the Olympic Channel app; Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA presents encore coverage at 5 p.m. ET. FENCING GRAND PRIX – SHANGHAI, CHINA

OLYMPIC CHANNEL: HOME OF TEAM USA PRESENTS COVERAGE ON FRIDAY, MAY 31 AT 7 A.M. ET

The 2019 Fencing Grand Prix spans nine cities, with each discipline held in three different locations. The series continued earlier this month in Shanghai, China, with the third and final foil competition of the circuit. 2018 world junior champion and NCAA champion Nick Itkin was the top American finisher in second place.


GYMNASTICS WORLD CHALLENGE CUP – KOPER, SLOVENIA

EUROPEAN ROWING CHAMPIONSHIPS – LUCERNE, SWITZERLAND

LIVE TV COVERAGE BEGINS SUNDAY, JUNE 2 AT 4 A.M. ET ON OLYMPIC CHANNEL: HOME OF TEAM USA

Europe’s best rowers will head to Lucerne, Switzerland for this weekend’s annual European Championships, featuring nearly 600 athletes from 36 nations. The men’s single sculls competition will feature reigning world champion Kjetil Borch of Norway up against 2016 Olympic silver medalist Damir Martin of Croatia. On the women’s side, 2017 single sculls world champion Jeannine Gmelin of Switzerland is expected to contend for a win.
