STAMFORD, Conn. – May 8, 2019 – U.S. champion Noah Lyles and Olympic medalists Chase Kalisz and John Shuster highlight extensive Olympic sports programming this week across NBC Sports platforms. All Olympic sports coverage televised and streamed across NBC Sports platforms is presented by Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA.

Beginning Saturday, May 11, at 5:30 a.m. ET and continuing Sunday at 7:30 a.m. ET, Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA and NBC Sports Gold present live coverage of the IAAF World Relays in Yokohama, Japan. Two-time Diamond League 200m champion Noah Lyles is expected to headline the men in the 4x100m relay. NBCSN presents additional TV coverage on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET and Sunday at 4 p.m. ET.

Bill Spaulding will call the action, joined by four-time Olympic medalist Ato Bolden.

In addition, the FINA Champions Swim Series continues this weekend live across NBC Sports with the second stop in Budapest, Hungary, beginning Saturday, May 11, at 2 p.m. ET on NBCSN and continuing Sunday, May 12, at 2 p.m. ET on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA.

The new three-meet series features a nontraditional format with only four swimmers per final and prize money for the competitors of the invitation-only event. 2018 Pan Pacific champion Michael Andrew and Rio Olympic silver medalist Chase Kalisz are expected to lead the Americans alongside five-time Olympic gold medalist Dana Vollmer. Patrick Kinas and twelve-time Olympic medalist Natalie Coughlin will call the competition.

Live coverage on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA will stream on OlympicChannel.com and the Olympic Channel app, in addition to NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app. Coverage on NBCSN will live stream on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app.

Also this weekend, PyeongChang Olympic gold medalist John Shuster leads the U.S men’s curling team at the Curling World Cup’s Grand Final in Beijing, China. The Curling World Cup is a new four-legged international series; eight teams qualified for the Final in each of the four disciplines with their performances in the first three events or by special invitation. Jason Knapp calls the action, joined by World Curling Hall of Famer Kevin Martin.

NBCSN continues live TV coverage of the men’s competition tonight at Midnight ET with USA vs. Canada, while live coverage of the women’s competition continues tomorrow at 8:30 p.m. ET on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA. In addition, NBCSN presents live coverage of the men’s final on Saturday, May 11 at 9 p.m. ET.

ARCHERY WORLD CUP – SHANGHAI, CHINA

LIVE COVERAGE BEGINS FRIDAY, MAY 10 AT 9:30 P.M. ET ON OLYMPICCHANNEL.COM

The 2019 Archery World Cup continues with its second stage in Shanghai, China. Three-time Olympic medalist Brady Ellison won the recurve competition at stage one of the World Cup in April. In the non-Olympic compound event, American Braden Gellenthien and Alexis Ruiz finished second and third in the men’s and women’s events, respectively, at the opening World Cup last month.

TV coverage begins Saturday, May 11 at 3 p.m. ET on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA and continues with coverage of the compound event on Sunday, May 12 at 8:30 p.m. ET.

 

WORLD ROWING CUP – PLOVDIV, BULGARIA

LIVE TV COVERAGE BEGINS SUNDAY, MAY 11 AT 3:30 A.M. ET ON OLYMPIC CHANNEL: HOME OF TEAM USA

The 2019 World Rowing Cup begins in Plovdiv, Bulgaria with its first of three stops in the series. World champion in the women’s eight and quadruple sculls Tray Eisser and three-time Olympian Megan Kalmoe are expected to lead the U.S. team and are favored to win the women’s pair event. Over three hundred athletes will compete in 16 finals, taking place in an artificial canal designed for major water sports events.

FENCING GRAND PRIX – SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA

OLYMPIC CHANNEL: HOME OF TEAM USA PRESENTS COVERAGE ON FRIDAY, MAY 10 AT 7 A.M. ET

The 2019 Fencing Grand Prix spans nine cities, with each discipline held in three different locations. The series continued with a sabre competition in Seoul, South Korea, in late April. 2016 Olympian Eli Dershwitz placed fifth and is currently ranked first in this season’s world sabre standings.
