STAMFORD, Conn. – April 25, 2019 – U.S. Olympic medalists Dana Vollmer, Nia Ali and John Shuster highlight extensive Olympic sports programming this week across NBC Sports platforms. All Olympic sports coverage televised and streamed across NBC Sports platforms is presented by Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA
FINA debuts the Champions Swim Series this weekend across NBC Sports, beginning Saturday, April 27 at 8 a.m. ET and continuing Sunday, April 28 at 7:30 a.m. ET on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA. NBCSN presents additional coverage on Saturday, April 27 at 11 p.m. ET.
The three-meet series will take place in China, Hungary, and the U.S. Each event features four swimmers per final, and athletes participate on an invitation-only basis. Invitations are given to the Olympic and world medalists, the world record holder, and the best in the world rankings in each event. Five-time Olympic gold medalist Dana Vollmer and 20-year-old Michael Andrew are among the Americans expected to compete in the first meet in Guangzhou, China this weekend. Five-time Olympic gold medalist Missy Franklin will make her broadcast debut at this weekend’s meet as an analyst alongside Steve Schlanger.
Live coverage on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA will stream on OlympicChannel.com and the Olympic Channel app, in addition to NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app. Coverage on NBCSN will live stream on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app.
In addition, NBC Sports’ big weekend of track and field coverage starts with the Penn Relays on Friday at 6 p.m. ET and Saturday at 12:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN and NBC Sports Gold. Following Saturday’s coverage of the Penn Relays, NBCSN and NBC Sports Gold present the Drake Relays at 3 p.m. ET.
The field in the women’s 100m hurdles at Drake Relays includes 2016 Olympic silver medalist Nia Ali and Kendra Harrison, the defending Drake Relays champion and world record holder in the event. In the shot put, 2016 Olympic gold medalist Ryan Crouser leads the field.
Also this weekend, PyeongChang Olympic gold medalist John Shuster continues competing in his first World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship in Norway, alongside Cory Christensen, a 2018 U.S. Olympic women’s team alternate. Christensen is also making her World Mixed Doubles Championship debut this week. The duo currently stands at 6-0 heading into their final game in round robin play. Tanith White calls the action, joined by U.S. Olympic curler Becca Hamilton.
Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA presents live coverage today with Russia vs. USA at 1:30 p.m. ET and continues through Saturday, April 27, culminating with the gold medal game at 10 a.m. ET. NBCSN presents additional coverage of the gold medal game on Sat., April 27 at 9 p.m. ET. These events will live stream on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app.

Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA presents 20 hours of linear coverage of the World Sled Hockey Championships, beginning this Saturday, April 27 in Ostrava, Czech Republic. The U.S. sled hockey team has finished on the podium at every Paralympic and world championship tournament since winning gold at the 2002 Salt Lake Paralympics. The American roster this season includes 12 players from the gold medal-winning PyeongChang Paralympic team.
Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA begins coverage with a rematch of the 2018 PyeongChang Paralympic gold medal game, with Canada vs. USA on Saturday, April 27 at 12:30 p.m. ET. Coverage continues on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA through Saturday, May 4 concluding with live coverage of the gold medal game at 10:30 a.m. ET. LONDON MARATHON
LIVE TV COVERAGE BEGINS SUNDAY, APRIL 28 AT 4 A.M. ET ON OLYMPIC CHANNEL: HOME OF TEAM USA
Men’s world record holder Eliud Kipchoge of Kenya will compete in the London Marathon this weekend. Kipchoge broke the world record by more than a minute in the Berlin Marathon in September. He will be racing against four-time Olympic gold medalist Mo Farah, who finished third at last year’s London Marathon. Defending champion Vivian Cheruiyot is expected to lead the women’s field, alongside her Kenyan teammate, three-time London winner Mary Keitany.

The 2019 sport climbing World Cup continues with bouldering and speed events in Chongqing, China this weekend. Kyra Condie, the top-ranked American in the women’s bouldering world rankings, and Ashima Shiraishi, the top-ranked U.S. lead climber, are both expected to compete in China.

The third round of the 2019 Sailing World Cup took place on April 14 in Genoa, Italy. Three-time Olympian Stuart McNay and his partner David Hughes are the top-ranked American men across all disciplines, sitting fourth in the 470 world rankings. McNay and Hughes partnered up immediately following the 2012 London Games, and finished just off the podium in fourth at the Rio Games.
