Stanley Cup Playoffs Start Times and Broadcast Networks Announced Through Saturday, April 20

STAMFORD, Conn. – April 18, 2019 – NBC Sports Group’s comprehensive coverage of the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs continues tonight with three games across NBCSN and USA Network, beginning at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN, when Alex Ovechkin and the (1) Washington Capitals visit Sebastian Aho and the (WC1) Carolina Hurricanes in Game 4 of their First Round series, with Washington holding a 2-1 series lead.

The action again shifts west at 10 p.m. ET on NBCSN when Max Pacioretty and the (3) Vegas Golden Knights look to advance to the Second Round with a Game 5 victory against Brent Burns and the (2) San Jose Sharks.

Tonight’s coverage on USA Network begins at 8:30 p.m. ET, when Kyle Connor and the (2) Winnipeg Jets host Vladimir Tarasenko and the (3) St. Louis Blues in a pivotal Game 5 with their series tied at two games apiece.

Pre-game coverage begins tonight at 6 p.m. ET on NBCSN with NHL Live.

NHL Live, hosted by Liam McHugh, Keith Jones, and Anson Carter, begins at 6 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Paul Burmeister, Jeremy Roenick, and Patrick Sharp will anchor USA Network’s studio coverage during St. Louis at Winnipeg.


(1) WASHINGTON CAPITALS AT (WC1) CAROLINA HURRICANES – GAME 4 AT 7 P.M. ET ON NBCSN – WASHINGTON LEADS 2-1

The Hurricanes got their first win of the series in Game 3 against the Capitals on Monday night with a 5-0 shutout. Warren Foegele had two goals and an assist, Dougie Hamilton scored two power-play goals, and Brock McGinn recorded a goal and an assist for Carolina. Hurricanes goalie Petr Mrazek had 18 saves in the win, making it his fourth shutout in 14 career Stanley Cup Playoffs games.


(3) ST. LOUIS BLUES AT (2) WINNIPEG JETS – GAME 5 AT 8:30 P.M. ET ON USA NETWORK – SERIES TIED 2-2

Winnipeg tied the series at two games apiece with a 2-1 overtime victory in St. Louis in Game 4 on Tuesday night. Jets forward Mark Scheifele tied the game in the third period, and teammate Kyle Connor netted the game-winning goal at 6:02 of overtime. The series shifts to Winnipeg tonight, where the Blues won the first two games of the series.

(3) VEGAS GOLDEN KNIGHTS AT (2) SAN JOSE SHARKS – GAME 5 AT 10 P.M. ET ON NBCSN – VEGAS LEADS 3-1

Vegas won its third straight game and pushed San Jose to the brink of elimination with a dominant 5-0 victory in Game 4 on Tuesday. Max Pacioretty had two goals and two assists, while teammates Shea Theodore, Alex Tuch, and Jonathan Marchessault also scored for the Golden Knights. Vegas goalie Marc-Andre Fleury made 28 saves in the win and notched his 15th career Stanley Cup Playoff shutout. Sharks center Joe Thornton is slated to return tonight after serving a one-game suspension for an illegal check to the head of Vegas’ Tomas Nosek.
