PHILADELPHIA-(March 28, 2019)– Legendary shortstop Jimmy Rollins joins NBC Sports Philadelphia’s Phillies broadcasts as a color analyst for select games this season. His first game in the booth will be on Monday, April 22 against the Mets.

The World Series Champion, National League MVP, and Gold Glove winner joins fellow Phillies John Kruk and Mike Schmidt on the broadcast team, along with Tom McCarthy, Ben Davis and Gregg Murphy. Rollins will be in the booth with McCarthy, Kruk and Murphy on April 22, and other select games throughout the season.

“Jimmy is a beloved member of the Phillies franchise, and his ability to connect and engage with fans is something really special,” said NBC Sports Philadelphia Vice President, Live Events Shawn Oleksiak. “Jimmy’s personality and knowledge of the game will add another level of depth to our already outstanding broadcast team.”

“There is an excitement in Philly about this team, as well as expectations, and I know what that is like,” said Rollins. “I look forward to sharing my knowledge and insight about this team with fans on NBC Sports Philadelphia.”

Rollins spent 15 of his 17 seasons with the Phillies, winning the 2007 National league Most Valuable Player.  He made the National League All-Star team three times and won four Gold Glove Awards.  He was named a special advisor to the Phillies earlier this year.

NBC Sports Philadelphia, NBC Sports Philadelphia+, and NBC 10 will air 159 regular-season games. For the first time ever, Phillies game broadcasts will be available to live stream for authenticated subscribers on the MyTeams app, which you can download here.
