STAMFORD, Conn. – January 24, 2019 – NBC Sports’ live coverage of the alpine skiing World Cup circuit continues this week with the renowned Kitzbuehel men’s races on Hahnenkamm mountain in Austria, beginning with the downhill tomorrow, Friday, Jan. 25 at 5:30 a.m. ET on NBC Sports Gold’s “Snow Pass.” NBCSN will present coverage of the downhill and super-G races on Mon., Jan. 28 at 4 p.m. ET and the slalom race on Tues., Jan. 29 at 11 p.m. ET.

NBC Sports Gold is NBC Sports Digital’s direct-to-consumer live streaming product. NBC Sports Gold’s “Snow Pass” gives fans access to live and on-demand domestic and international competitions of seven Olympic winter sports through April 2019.

The Kitzbuehel downhill is considered one of the most famous and thrilling races of the year. Olympians Bryce Bennett and Travis Ganong are expected to lead the U.S. men in the downhill and super-G.

Live coverage of the women’s races from Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany begins this Saturday, Jan. 26 at 4 a.m. ET on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA and NBC Sports Gold.

NBC Sports presents extensive coverage of the European Figure Skating Championships from Minsk, Belarus, continuing tonight at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Reigning Olympic gold medalist Alina Zagitova looks to win her second straight European title. On the men’s side, 2018 Olympic bronze medalist and two-time world champion Javier Fernandez of Spain seeks his seventh consecutive European title. NBC Sports’ live coverage of the 2019 Track and Field season kicks off with a pair of events this Saturday, Jan. 26. CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING WORLD CUP – ULRICEHAMN, SWEDEN

Olympic gold medalist Jessie Diggins is expected to headline the American women at this weekend’s cross-country skiing World Cup races in Ulricehamn, Sweden. Two-time Olympians Sophie Caldwell and Sadie Bjornsen, both of whom have made World Cup podiums this season, are also expected to compete.

TV coverage continues on Sunday, Jan. 27 with the women’s relay at 4 p.m. ET on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA. WORLD LUGE CHAMPIONSHIPS – WINTERBERG, GERMANY

Winterberg, Germany hosts the 2019 World Luge Championships this weekend for the third time. Summer Britcher, who finished 3rd in the World Cup race in Winterberg last season and currently stands in third in the World Cup rankings, will compete as the top American medal hope. Britcher will be seeking the U.S.’s second straight women’s world medal, after Erin Hamlin won silver in 2017. 2018 Olympic silver medalist Chris Mazdzer is expected to compete in the singles and doubles event.

The snowboarding World Cup circuit continues with a slopestyle event in Seiser Alm, Italy, and a parallel slalom event in Moscow, Russia. Two-time Olympian Ryan Stassel, who finished in the top 10 in each of the first two World Cup slopestyle events of the season, is expected to lead the Americans in Italy.

BOBSLED & SKELETON WORLD CUP – ST. MORITZ, SWITZERLAND

The bobsled and skeleton World Cup circuit travels to St. Moritz, Switzerland for the final European event of the World Cup season (Lake Placid and Calgary will host the last two stops). Three-time Olympic bobsled medalist Elana Meyers Taylor, who has four podium finishes through the first five races of this season, is expected to lead the U.S. women. 2010 Olympic gold medalist Justin Olsen and PyeongChang Olympian Codie Bascue are the top U.S. men this season in bobsled.

BIATHLON WORLD CUP – ANTHOLTZ-ANTERSELVA, ITALY

Entering the sixth competition of the 2018-19 biathlon World Cup season, the top U.S. woman in the overall standings is 2018 Olympian Clare Egan, who earned a career-best sixth-place finish in pursuit at the first World Cup stop of the season in Slovenia. Egan and two-time Olympian Susan Dunklee, who had a season-best 7th-place finish in the pursuit on Jan. 12, are expected to lead the U.S. women in Italy. Two-time Olympians Leif Nordgren and Sean Doherty are the top American men.

CYCLO-CROSS WORLD CUP – HOOGERHEIDE, NETHERLANDS

TV COVERAGE BEGINS SUNDAY, JAN. 27 AT 1 P.M. ET ON OLYMPIC CHANNEL: HOME OF TEAM USA

The Cyclo-Cross World Cup season concludes this weekend in Hoogerheide, Netherlands. Cyclo-Cross, a non-Olympic discipline, combines cycling, steeplechase and NASCAR all into one, with athletes racing around a circuit course with steep hills, difficult descents, mud, grass, sand and dirt. Kaitlin Keough is the top U.S. woman in the world cup rankings. The cyclists will next compete in early February in the World Championships.

WORLD MEN’S HANDBALL CHAMPIONSHIP

LIVE COVERAGE CONTINUES THIS WEEK; GOLD MEDAL GAME STARTS SUNDAY, JAN. 27 AT 11:30 A.M. ET ON OLYMPIC CHANNEL

This year’s World Men’s Handball Championship is hosted by two nations for the first time, with Germany and Denmark splitting the role. Both host nations have advanced to Friday’s semifinals, as has defending champion France.

Live coverage continues with the first semifinal between Denmark and France on Friday at 11:30 a.m. ET, followed by Germany taking on Norway in the second semifinal at 2:30 p.m. ET.  Coverage concludes on Sunday with the bronze medal match on Sunday at 8:30 a.m. ET, followed by the gold medal match at 11:30 a.m. ET. An encore presentation of the gold medal match will air on NBCSN on Monday night at midnight ET.
