The event will be contested at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Michigan, marking its return to the city for the first time since the widely-documented championships leading into the 1994 Lillehammer Olympics.

Live TV coverage begins tomorrow, Jan. 24 with the pairs’ short program at 5 p.m. ET and the ladies’ short program at 9 p.m. ET on NBCSN. On Friday, Jan. 25, live coverage of the rhythm dance begins at 4 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Coverage on NBC begins Friday with the ladies’ free skate at 8 p.m. ET/PT, and continues Saturday with the pairs’ free skate and men’s short program live at 1:30 p.m. ET, before concluding on Sunday live at 3:30 p.m. ET with the men’s free skate. Also on Saturday at 7 p.m. ET, NBCSN will televise live coverage of the free dance.

Highlighting the men’s field is Chen, who seeks his third consecutive U.S. title. Chen won both of his Grand Prix Series events in the fall and repeated as the Grand Prix Final champion in December, becoming the first U.S. man to win two Grand Prix Final titles. At the PyeongChang Olympics last February, he won a bronze medal in the team competition.

In an unpredictable ladies’ field, reigning national champion and Olympic team medalist Bradie Tennell aims for a repeat victory. Reigning 2018 world silver medalists Madison Hubbell and Zach Donohue are likely to lead the ice dance event.

The U.S. Championships serve as the qualifying event for the Four Continents Championships and World Championships in February and March.

For the NBC and NBCSN broadcasts, Terry Gannon handles play-by-play for all disciplines, joined by 1998 Olympic gold medalist Tara Lipinski and three-time U.S. champion Johnny Weir on men’s, ladies’, and pairs’ programs. 2006 Olympic ice dance silver medalist Tanith White serve as analyst on ice dance and Andrea Joyce will be the on-site reporter. 2014 Sochi Olympic ice dance gold medalist Charlie White will call all disciplines on NBC Sports Gold, and will be joined by three-time U.S. champion Michael Weiss.

Live coverage of the U.S. Figure Skating Championships junior programs continues today on NBC Sports Gold’s “Figure Skating Pass” through Friday, Jan. 25.

Also this week, NBC Sports presents extensive coverage of the European Figure Skating Championships from Minsk, Belarus, beginning today at 4:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Reigning Olympic gold medalist Alina Zagitova looks to win her second straight European title, and her Russian teammates, Sofia Samodurova and Stanislava Konstantinova will likely join her atop the ladies’ field. On the men’s side, 2018 Olympic bronze medalist and two-time world champion Javier Fernandez of Spain seeks his seventh consecutive European title. France’s ice dance Olympic silver medalists Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron are favorites to win the competition for the fifth straight year.

Live coverage of the European Figure Skating Championships starts today at 10:45 a.m. ET on NBC Sports Gold’s “Figure Skating Pass” with the pairs’ short program.

Jason Horowitz calls the action on NBC and NBCSN, joined by 2016 world silver medalist and three-time U.S. champion Ashley Wagner for the men’s, ladies’ and pairs’ programs. Sinead Kerr will serve as analyst on ice dance.
