STAMFORD, Conn. – November 26, 2018 Dylan Larkin and the Detroit Red Wings host Vladimir Tarasenko and the St. Louis Blues this week to kick off a Wednesday Night Hockey doubleheader beginning at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN, which shifts to Denver, Colo., at 9:30 p.m. ET when Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins visit Nathan MacKinnon and the Colorado Avalanche.

This week’s NHL coverage on NBCSN begins Tuesday at 8 p.m. ET, as Marc-Andre Fleury and the Vegas Golden Knights visit Patrick Kane and the Chicago Blackhawks. In addition, NBC Sports will debut Desert Gold presented by MGM Resorts International ahead of Vegas-Chicago across NBCSports.com, YouTube and Facebook Watch.

The four-episode digital series chronicles Vegas’ captivating run during last season’s Stanley Cup Playoffs and provides an in-depth look at the relationship between the city of Las Vegas and the Golden Knights. Click here for a trailer.

Kathryn Tappen will host Wednesday’s coverage on NHL Live alongside analysts Mike Milbury and Keith Jones, and NHL insider Bob McKenzie, while Tappen, Jeremy Roenick and Anson Carter will be in-studio on Tuesday.

Additionally, NBC Sports will present a pair of college hockey games between the No. 8 Notre Dame Fighting Irish and RPI. The first game of the weekend series airs Friday at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN, while the second game will stream live exclusively on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app on Saturday at 7 p.m. ET.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT HOCKEY – BLUES-RED WINGS AT 7 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

The Blues (8-11-3, 19 pts) look to regain their footing in the Western Conference after losing four of their last five games, including an 8-4 defeat to the Winnipeg Jets on Saturday. St. Louis is 1-2-0 under interim head coach Craig Berube, who replaced Mike Yeo on Nov. 20 following the Blues’ 7-9-3 start to the season. Ryan O’Reilly paces the team in goals (12), assists (14) and points (26).

The Red Wings (10-10-3, 23 pts) have split their last four games, including a narrow 3-2 defeat in a shootout to the surging Buffalo Sabres on Saturday. Through 23 games, Larkin leads Detroit with 20 points, and is one of eight Red Wings players to record at least 10 points this season. Detroit hosts Columbus tonight.

Six-time Emmy Award-winner Mike ‘Doc’ Emrick, U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame member Eddie Olczyk, and ‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst Brian Boucher will have the call from Little Caesars Arena in Detroit.

WNH DOUBLEHEADER PENGUINS-AVALANCHE AT 9:30 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

The Penguins (9-8-5, 23 pts) defeated the Columbus Blue Jackets, 4-2, on Saturday to extend Pittsburgh’s point streak to four games (2-0-2). Jake Guentzel netted his first regular-season hat trick in the victory, and currently leads the team with 11 goals on the year. Evgeni Malkin enters the week on a seven-game point streak (2g/8a). Pittsburgh visits Winnipeg on Tuesday night.

The Avalanche (13-6-4, 30 pts) have won six of their last seven games, including four straight. Colorado defeated Dallas, 3-2, on Saturday, and currently sits five points out of first place in the Central Division. The Avalanche boast one of the league’s premier offensive tandems in Mikko Rantanen and MacKinnon, who currently rank first (38) and second (35), respectively, in the NHL in points.

John Forslund (play-by-play) and Pierre McGuire (‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst) will have the call from Pepsi Center in Denver, Colo.

GOLDEN KNIGHTS-BLACKHAWKS TUESDAY AT 8 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

The Golden Knights (12-12-1, 25 pts) have rattled off three consecutive wins, and are 5-2-0 in their last seven games. Fleury posted his second straight and his league-leading fifth shutout on Saturday, as Vegas defeated San Jose, 6-0.  Max Pacioretty has totaled nine points (6g/3a) in his last seven games, including a pair of goals in the team’s 6-0 win vs. the Sharks, after recording just two points in his first 14 games this season.

Chicago (9-10-5, 23 pts) ended an eight-game road skid on Saturday, defeating the Florida Panthers, 5-4, in overtime. Erik Gustafsson scored the game-winner in overtime to lead Chicago past Florida. Kane paces the team in all three major statistical categories (13g, 14a, 27 points).

COLLEGE HOCKEY – NO. 8 NOTRE DAME FIGHTING IRISH HOST RPI FRIDAY AT 7 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

The No. 8 Fighting Irish (7-4-1) enter this weekend’s series against RPI on a three-game winning streak, including consecutive wins against Michigan State. The Irish face Northern Michigan on Tuesday. Cal Burke and Joe Wegwerth lead the team with seven goals this season. RPI (4-7-0) split a pair of games this past weekend against UMass Lowell.

Tony Simeone (play-by-play) and Anson Carter (analyst) will call Friday’s matchup on NBCSN from the Compton Family Ice Arena in South Bend, Ind.
