NBC SPORTS’ SIXTH SEASON OF NOTRE DAME HOCKEY COVERAGE BEGINS WITH CHAMPIONSHIP REMATCH VS. MINNESOTA DULUTH ON OCT. 26 ON NBCSN
NBC Sports Presents 18 Fighting Irish Games Across NBCSN, NBCSports.com & NBC Sports App During 2018-19 Season
Fighting Irish Host Bulldogs in NCAA Men’s Division I Championship Rematch on Friday, Oct. 26, at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN
STAMFORD, Conn. – October 15, 2018 – NBC Sports’ sixth season of Notre Dame hockey coverage begins on Friday, Oct. 26, when the No. 2 Fighting Irish host the No. 3 Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs in a rematch of the 2018 NCAA Division I Men’s Hockey Championship at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN, the first of 18 games set to air across NBCSN, NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app throughout the 2018-19 regular-season.
Following the Fighting Irish’s two-game series against the Bulldogs, NBCSN, NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app will combine to deliver coverage of 13 Big Ten matchups and three out-of-conference games during the 2018-19 Notre Dame hockey season. In total, eight games will be televised on NBCSN and an additional 10 games will be streamed live via the NBC Sports app and NBCSports.com.
NBCSN’s coverage is highlighted by Big Ten showdowns with No. 1 Ohio State on Saturday, Nov. 3 at 7:30 p.m. ET and No. 11 Michigan on Saturday, Jan. 5 at 3:30 p.m. ET. Streaming coverage of the Fighting Irish’s regular-season on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app is headlined by matchups with Minnesota Duluth on Saturday, Oct. 27 at 5 p.m. ET; Ohio State on Friday, Nov. 2 at 7:30 p.m. ET; and Michigan on Tuesday, Feb. 2 at 7:30 p.m. ET.
Notre Dame is currently ranked No. 2 in the country, and will face third-ranked Minnesota Duluth for the first time since the Bulldogs defeated the Fighting Irish, 2-1, to win the NCAA men’s hockey title in April. All rankings are based on the Oct. 15 USCHO Division I men’s hockey poll.
