Third Round Leaderboard: Evian Championship Leaderboard

Amy Olson                  -14

Sei Young Kim           -12

Mo Martin                   -10

Georgia Hall                -9

Inbee Park                   -9

Angela Stanford         -9

On Amy Olson, leader at 14-under par (6-under 65 on Saturday)

Grant Boone – “Amy Olson has been brilliant today.”

Judy Rankin – “Pernilla Lindberg had her fiancé on the bag when she won [ANA Inspiration]. Georgia Hall had her dad on the bag when she won [Ricoh Women’s British Open]. Amy Olson has this close relationship with her brother, and she is poised to win.”

Jerry Foltz – “It has been fun to watch today. She is playing majestic golf.”

Boone – “It is a new putter in the bag the last couple of weeks, and she is seeing the dividends.”

Boone – “Not playing like a player who has yet to win.”

On Sei Young Kim, 2nd at 12-under par (7-under 64 on Saturday)

Judy Rankin – “Her happy place is about 10 or 12 feet from the hole. She can make them time after time after time.”

On Mo Martin, 3rd at 10-under par (2-under 69 on Saturday)

Jerry Foltz – “When Mo is on the front page of the leaderboard that means she is taking advantage of her opportunities.”

Foltz – “When Mo is playing her best, she doesn’t leave a lot of shots on the course.”

Rankin – “She is what you call a ‘repeater.’ She has found a groove and she can repeat and repeat. When you find a player like that who is a good driver, you can count on seeing it in the fairway over and over.”

Rankin – “Mo Martin only tries to perfect what she does. Mo does not waste a lot of energy trying to find 10 more yards. She spends all of her time doing what she does as well as she can do it.”

Georgia Hall (T4 at 9-under par) speaking with Golf Channel’s Henni Zuel following her round

Georgia Hall – “It was a bit up and down but I had a good front nine. Holed some good putts. I missed some putts on the back nine but the pins were very hard today, especially on the front nine. So I was glad I managed to shoot 3-under there.”

Hall – “I knew that I was around the top-3 and I wanted to try to get in the final group if I could. Not sure if I’ll be in it, but I know I’ll be close. 17 is a tough hole and I was happy to make that 8-footer.”

Hall – “I’m really enjoying it out here and it definitely gives me a bit of confidence teeing it up on the first tee. I am playing really well at the moment and hopefully I can have a low one tomorrow.”

Hall – “I think I need to hole some more putts. I think I’ve had some putts every day that I’ve just missed, like a lot of players. But, I think I’m in with a good chance tomorrow and four or five shots isn’t much around this golf course. I just need to play smart, hopefully.”

On Angela Stanford, T4 at 9-under par (3-under 68 on Saturday)

Rankin – “Angela Stanford has gone from a very good player to a player that actually thought about giving up, then thought about slowing down. Slowing down gave her a new lease on life. She is back full force.”

Ryann O’Toole (T7 at 8-under par, 8-under 63 on Saturday) speaking with Golf Channel’s Jerry Foltz following her round

Ryann O’Toole – I just felt like today was one of those days that everything seemed to go for the most part my way. I putted very well. So I think the new putter that I put in the bag did well today. Other than that I just kind of tried to stay patient and do the best that I can.”

O’Toole – As a golfer sometimes you tend to do the same thing. I kept the same ball in play for quite a while until it had too many scuffs from wedges. Today, probably go get a workout in, go maybe run down by the lake, get some dinner, maybe go see the casino. I think do what I normally do and try to keep my mind occupied vs. thinking about where I sit. I just think I’m happy for how I played today and where I stand. I know girls are still out there and I’m going to have to chase tomorrow and I’m ok with that.”
