Encore Coverage of Final Three Stages on NBCSN

STAMFORD, Conn. – September 12, 2018 – NBC Sports concludes its live coverage of all 21 stages of the 2018 Vuelta a España – the final Grand Tour of the season – this weekend, with coverage continuing tomorrow, Thursday, September 13, with Stage 18 at 10 a.m. ET on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA and on NBC Sports Gold with a subscription to its “Cycling Pass.”

The event culminates on Sunday, September 16, in Madrid with Stage 21 live at 10:45 a.m. ET on NBC Sports Gold, and at 1 p.m. ET on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA. NBCSN will televise encore presentations of the final three stages, beginning with Stage 19 this Friday, September 14, at 11 p.m. ET.

Simon Philip Yates (Mitchelton-Scott) of the U.K. currently leads the general classification, with 2009 Vuelta winner and Spanish native Alejandro Valverde of Movistar Team 25 seconds behind.

Paul Sherwen calls the action for Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA and NBCSN coverage, joined by analyst Bob Roll. Matthew Keenan will provide play-by-play commentary for 2018 Vuelta a España coverage on NBC Sports Gold, joined by analyst David McKenzie.

In addition, this Sunday at 8 a.m. ET, NBC Sports Gold will present live coverage of the women’s Madrid Challenge, a one-day race through the streets of Madrid. Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA will air encore coverage of the Madrid Challenge Sunday at 4 p.m. ET.
