Xander Schauffele      -16

Rickie Fowler              -15

On Justin Rose, 3rd round leader at 17-under par (6-under 64 on Saturday)

Steve Sands – “He is dialed in.”

Peter Jacobsen – “He has certainly figured out how to play Aronimink.”

Roger Maltbie – A great team these two, Justin Rose and his caddie Mark Fulcher. They don’t make too many errors.”

On Rory McIlroy, T2 at 16-under par (7-under 63 on Saturday)

Jim “Bones” Mackay – “They call the BMW the ultimate driving machine, but Rory McIlroy is way up there too. He has put on some exhibition with the big stick today.”

Rory McIlroy speaking with Golf Channel’s Todd Lewis following his round

Rory McIlroy – “I hit more fairways again today and I putted better. I think I lost three strokes on the greens yesterday and I missed a couple of short ones. Today I holed the putts that I needed to and I hit more fairways and gave myself opportunities. It was a weird day. They put a lot of the tees up and the conditions were very wet. But if you didn’t shoot a 65 you were losing ground. It was one of those days where you had to stay aggressive.”

On Tommy Fleetwood, T4 at 15-under par (8-under 62 on Saturday)

Gary Koch – “He is a really good player. He does everything well and is a wonderful iron player.”

Jacobsen – “The guy is on fire on the back nine.”

Tommy Fleetwood speaking with Golf Channel’s Todd Lewis following his round

Tommy Fleetwood – “After struggling on Saturday and Sunday in Boston, I have been working on my game and working on my swing. I drove it so much better on Thursday. I drove it really well, and that was a positive but the rest of my game was really poor. I was 3-over through 8 on Thursday. Got that back, finished with a bogey on the last, and then the last two days, I’ve just put it all together really. Hit my irons really well. I’ve had much better start lines and I’ve hit it close enough to hole a few putts.”

Fleetwood – “I don’t think it will do any harm if I shoot another 62. We’ll see. Rose is playing some phenomenal golf. When you spend time with someone, you sometimes don’t realize how well they are doing and how good they are playing because you are trying to compete with them. He has been the most consistent golfer in the world for a little bit. I don’t think I’ll be thinking too much about him, I’ve got my own problems to deal with tomorrow to try to get around the golf course.”

On Tiger Woods, T11 at 12-under par (4-under 66 on Saturday)

Sands – “Everywhere he has traveled in this comeback since being able to chip and pitch on Aug. 31, 2017, the fans have cheered him loud.”

Mark Rolfing – “Magnificent display of driving today.”

Rolfing – “It has been a very easy-looking 4-under par for Woods today.”

Koch – “A solid round. He drove the ball well and hit a lot of greens. Didn’t hit the ball as close to the hole that he would have liked and the putter was not as hot as it could have been.”

On Saturday’s third round at Aronimink Golf Club

Jacobsen – “The players have just throwing darts out here today.”
