Documentary Kicks off Champions Week featuring Phillies, Eagles and Villanova Championship Parade Replays

 

Philadelphia, PA (JULY 11, 2018) – NBC Sports Philadelphia – home of the Authentic Fan – looks back at the golden age of the Philadelphia Phillies from those who made it happen in “World Champions: The Story of the ’08 Phillies.”  The documentary premieres on Sunday, July 15 at 8 p.m., followed by an airing of the 2008 Phillies World Championship parade. The Philadelphia Eagles Championship Parade, as well as the 2016 and 2018 Villanova parades, cap off Champions Week on NBC Sports Philadelphia.

In “World Champions: The Story of the ’08 Phillies,” the architects of the team shed light on the key decisions that laid the foundation of that 2008 championship roster, and how they added the final pieces to the puzzle. The stars of that era also discuss if they should have won more than one World Series.

 

Jimmy Rollins, Chase Utley, Ryan Howard, Cole Hamels, Charlie Manuel, Pat Burrell, Shane Victorino, Jayson Werth, Brad Lidge, Brett Myers and many others share the inside stories behind the magical moments that we all remember.
