MOSCOW – June 17, 2018 – Telemundo’s presentation of its first-ever FIFA World Cup™ has captivated viewers with suspense, excitement, and unforgettable matches, as Saturday’s full-day coverage delivered the network’s best-ever Saturday daytime viewership.

Telemundo’s four-match coverage on Saturday posted a Total Audience Delivery average of 1.9 million viewers across Telemundo, TelemundoDeportes.com, and the Telemundo En Vivo and NBC Sports apps, according to live plus same day fast national data released today by Nielsen, and digital data from Adobe Analytics.

The TV-only viewership average of 1.7 million viewers from 6 a.m. ET to 5 p.m. ET ranks as the most-watched Saturday daytime in Telemundo history – nearly doubling the prior record (Confederations Cup, 864,000 viewers, 6/24/17).

Telemundo also posted its best-ever day on digital platforms, with 1.8 million uniques, generating 5.9 million livestreams and 66 million total minutes viewed. Telemundo’s digital properties delivered an Average Minute Audience of 121,000 on Saturday, more than double the highest match from the 2017 Confederations Cup.

Denmark’s 1-0 victory over Peru from 11:30 a.m. ET to 2 p.m. ET on Saturday posted a Total Audience Delivery of 2.60 million viewers, surpassing all 16 of the network’s broadcasts of the June-July 2017 Confederations Cup, including four Mexico matches and the Chile-Germany final.
