TAMPA BAY LIGHTNING AT WASHINGTON CAPITALS – EASTERN CONFERENCE FINAL GAME 3 TONIGHT AT 8 P.M. ET ON NBCSN – CAPITALS LEAD 2-0

Washington took a 2-0 series lead on Sunday night with a 6-2 victory in Game 2 in Tampa, pushing its road record to 7-1 in the postseason. The Capitals’ top line of Alex Ovechkin, Evgeny Kuznetsov and Tom Wilson has combined for 11 points in the first two games of the series. The Caps find themselves in the opposite position of the First Round, when they trailed Columbus, 2-0, after losing two games at home, before rattling off four straight wins. Last round, Tampa Bay dropped Game 1 at home to Boston before four straight victories to win the series in five games.

Since the 1974-75 season, teams that hold a 2-0 series lead in the Conference Finals own an all-time series record of 39-2. Pittsburgh (1991) was the last team to overcome a 2-0 series deficit in the Conference Finals and advance to the Stanley Cup Final. This marks the first time since 2014 that a Conference Finals series is not tied 1-1 after Game 2.

WINNIPEG JETS AT VEGAS GOLDEN KNIGHTS – WESTERN CONFERENCE FINAL GAME 3 WEDNESDAY AT 9 P.M. ET ON NBCSN – SERIES TIED 1-1

The Golden Knights evened the series with a 3-1 win in Winnipeg in Game 2 on Monday night, led by a pair of goals by Jonathan Marchessault and a 30-save performance by goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury. Fleury has allowed one goal or less in half of his starts in the playoffs. Neither the Golden Knights nor the Jets have lost back-to-back games yet in the postseason.
