Western Conference Final Game 1 – Golden Knights at Jets/Predators on Saturday at 7 p.m. ET on NBC

STAMFORD, Conn. – May 10, 2018 – NBC Sports’ exclusive coverage of the Second Round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs concludes tonight with a decisive Game 7, as P.K. Subban and the defending Western Conference champion Nashville Predators clash with Patrik Laine and the Winnipeg Jets for a chance to advance to the Western Conference Final.

NBC Sports.com and the NBC Sports app – NBC Sports Group’s live streaming platforms for desktops, mobile devices, tablets, and connected TVs — will provide live streaming coverage of Game 7. Pre-game coverage begins at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN with NHL Live, hosted by Liam McHugh alongside analysts and former players Keith Jones and Jeremy Roenick.

Tonight’s matchup marks the first Game 7 in the Jets’ brief seven-year history, the third all-time Game 7 for the Predators, who appeared in a pair of Game 7s in 2016, and the first-ever Game 7 in Nashville in franchise history. Kenny Albert (play-by-play), Eddie Olczyk (analyst) and Pierre McGuire (‘Inside-the-Glass’ analyst) will call tonight’s Game 7 from Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn.

Nashville forced tonight’s Game 7 showdown with a 4-0 victory in Game 6 in Winnipeg on Monday night. Filip Forsberg and Viktor Arvidsson each scored twice, and Pekka Rinne made 34 saves in the win after allowing six goals in a 6-2 loss to the Jets in Game 5. Through six games, Winnipeg and Nashville are neck-and-neck in several key statistical categories, including total goals (22 – WPG, 18 – NSH), power play (4/18, 4/15) and shots on goal (213, 217). Over the past five years, the eventual Stanley Cup champion has won at least one Game 7.

Pierre McGuire on tonight’s Game 7: “Game 7s are an amazing spectacle. The emotion and energy and how players elevate their game is something that very few people have the opportunity to do. The crowd in Nashville will only enhance this Game 7 moment. This is one of those games where I think the crowd can have an impact on the outcome.”
