TONIGHT – MAY 4

Ondrej Palat netted two goals in the first period and Vezina Trophy finalist Andrei Vasilevskiy saved 28-of-29 shots, as the Lightning defeated the Bruins, 4-1, in Game 3 on Wednesday to take the series lead. Boston’s David Pastrnak recorded his 19th point of the postseason in Game 3, a total that ranks tied for second in these playoffs.

Goaltender Martin Jones recorded his second shutout of the postseason as the Sharks topped the Golden Knights, 4-0, in a pivotal Game 4 on Wednesday to even the series at two games apiece. Jones, who has six career postseason shutouts, is one away from matching Evgeni Nabokov’s franchise record. Conversely, Marc-Andre Fleury surrendered three-or-more goals for the third consecutive game after allowing a combined three goals in the first five games of the playoffs.

SATURDAY – MAY 5

Coverage begins at 7:15 p.m. ET on NBC with the latest matchup between Ovechkin and Crosby, as the Capitals host the Penguins in a pivotal Game 5. Pittsburgh rebounded from a Game 3 loss with a 3-1 victory over Washington on Thursday, led by a two-goal performance from 23-year-old Jake Guentzel, who now leads all players in the postseason with 21 points (10g/11a) in 10 games. Guentzel, who had 13 goals as a rookie last postseason, joined Mario Lemieux as the only players in NHL history to score 10-plus goals in each of their first two playoff appearances.

Coverage continues at 9:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN with Game 5 between the Jets and Predators. Pekka Rinne made 32 saves and Subban netted the eventual game-winning goal in the second period as Nashville defeated Winnipeg, 2-1, in Game 4 to even the series at two games apiece. Rinne’s impressive performance came on the heels of a difficult Game 3 in which he allowed five goals on 43 shots.

SUNDAY – MAY 6

Sunday’s coverage could feature a pair of elimination games across NBC and NBCSN, beginning at 3 p.m. ET with Game 5 between the Bruins and Lightning. The two franchises last met in the playoffs in the 2011 Eastern Conference Final, where Boston won in seven games en route to winning the Stanley Cup. Coverage shifts west to Vegas at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN, as the Golden Knights host the Sharks, where one of the two teams will have the opportunity to advance to the Western Conference Final with a victory.
