NBC SPORTS GROUP’S SUMMER OF TRACK & FIELD BEGINS AS IAAF DIAMOND LEAGUE COVERAGE KICKS OFF THIS WEEK FROM DOHA, QATAR

NBC Sports Group to Present More than 50 Hours of Diamond League Coverage Through September

Coverage begins this Friday, Live at Noon ET on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA & Saturday at 2:30 pm ET on NBCSN

Coverage Streamed Live, On Demand & Commercial-Free with NBC Sports Gold’s “Track and Field Pass” including Exclusive Bonus Coverage of Field Events

STAMFORD, Conn. – May 2, 2017 –NBC Sports Group begins its summer of IAAF Diamond League track and field coverage, totaling more than 50 hours, this Friday, May 4, with the first event of the season in Doha, Qatar, live at Noon ET on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA and with direct-to-consumer product NBC Sports Gold’s “Track and Field Pass.” As a part of its coverage of throughout the season, NBC Sports Gold will present live commercial-free coverage of every IAAF Diamond League event, including bonus coverage of field events, highlights, replays, and an exclusive 30-minute preview of each event.

NBCSN presents coverage from Doha this Saturday, May 5, at 2:30 p.m. ET. Coverage on NBCSN will be streamed via authentication on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app. Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA content will be streamed via authentication on NBCSports.com, OlympicChannel.com, the NBC Sports app, and the Olympic Channel app.

Highlighting the action in Doha are 2016 Olympic 1500m bronze medalist Jenny Simpson, 100m hurdles world record holder Kendra Harrison, three-time Olympic medalist Kerron Clement, two-time Olympic triple jump gold medalist Christian Taylor, and 2016 Olympic pole vault silver medalist Sandi Morris.

Paul Swangard handles the call, joined by analysts Kellie Wells and Josh Cox.

Content will be presented as part of the Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA partnership among NBCUniversal, the IOC, and the USOC.
