NBCSN to Present Encore Coverage of Both Events

STAMFORD, Conn. – April 17, 2018 – NBC Sports Group continues its 2018 cycling schedule with exclusive live, commercial-free coverage of La Flèche Wallonne tomorrow, Wednesday, April 18, at 8 a.m. ET, and Liège–Bastogne–Liège this Sunday, April 22, at 8:05 a.m. ET on NBC Sports Gold’s “Cycling Pass.” NBCSN will present encore coverage of both races, with La Flèche Wallonne this Thursday, April 19, at 1:30 a.m. ET, and Liège–Bastogne–Liège Sunday at 11 p.m. ET.

Reigning champion Alejandro Valverde (Movistar) has won a record five editions of La Flèche Wallonne, four since 2014, and will be looking for his sixth career title this week. He faces competition from Daniel Martin (Quick-Step Floors), who has finished on the podium twice at La Flèche Wallonne, and Julian Alaphilippe (Quick-Step Floors), the 2015 runner-up. Set in Belgium’s Wallonia region, La Flèche Wallonne begins in Binche, moves east toward the hills, and finishes atop the Mur de Huy.

Valverde and Martin will also headline the Liège-Bastogne-Liège in Belgium just four days later, the final Monument Classic of the season.

Anthony McCrossan will call La Flèche Wallonne, and Paul Sherwen will call Liège–Bastogne–Liège for NBC Sports Gold. Steve Schlanger calls both races on NBCSN, joined by analyst Christian Vandevelde for La Flèche Wallonne, and Bob Roll for Liège–Bastogne–Liège.
