Ian Poulter (19-under, winner) speaking with NBC Sports’ Steve Burkowski following his victory
Ian Poulter – “Last week was painful. And to come here this week I was tired, I was frustrated on Thursday. I didn’t play my best stuff. I had packed my bags obviously to leave on Friday… Obviously to play like I did today I was patient. I waited my time. This is amazing. I haven’t won a stroke play event in the States. So to do it this week after the disappointment of last week… To know I’m going to Augusta, to do it in this fashion. It’s amazing.”

Poulter – “I had a good read obviously [on the 72nd hole]. Beau hit a good putt and I thought he holed it… I knew mine was actually going to break just a fraction right-to-left… I had to dig deep today, and I just rolled it in at the right time.”

On Poulter
Johnny Miller – “Poulter is back… That’s a rare quality when a guy can make putts like that when he needs them… He can smell the azaleas.”
Roger Maltbie – “I have really been impressed with his play today. He’s made the ball go left-to-right, right-to-left. He’s just been spot on throughout the day.”
Dan Hicks – “He pounded his chest over his heart, and that’s exactly what that putt [on the 72nd hole] was all about.”

On Beau Hossler (19-under, 2nd)
Miller – “A career-changer is what it is. It could set him loose.”
Maltbie – “I think all this says a lot about this young man.”

Jordan Spieth (16-under, T-3rd) speaking with Burkowski following his round
Jordan Spieth – “I had an opportunity to shoot 8 or 9 under. I’m very pleased with my 6-under. Goal accomplished for the week. I’ve made some big strides from my last couple tournaments. I’m very excited for what next week holds.”
