NBC SPORTS GROUP TO PROVIDE MORE THAN 200 HOURS OF 2018 WORLD CURLING CHAMPIONSHIPS COVERAGE

Coverage of World Men’s Curling Championship From Las Vegas Begins Saturday, March 31, at 9:30 p.m. ET Live on NBCSN – Team USA vs. Japan

STAMFORD, Conn. – March 21, 2018 – NBC Sports Group will present more than 200 hours of coverage from the 2018 World Women’s and Men’s Curling Championships over the next month across NBCSN, Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA., NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app, and OlympicChannel.com and the Olympic Channel app.

The World Women’s Curling Championship will take place through March 25 in North Bay, Ontario, while the World Men’s Curling Championship will be held in Las Vegas, Nev., and will take place March 31 – April 8. Live coverage of the World Women’s Curling Championship on NBCSN continues today at 2 p.m. ET with Team USA vs. China.

Jason Knapp (play-by-play), 2006 Olympic bronze medalist Pete Fenson (analyst), and 2010 Olympic gold medalist Kevin Martin (analyst) will combine to provide commentary throughout the 2018 World Curling Championships.

WORLD WOMEN’S CURLING CHAMPIONSHIP – THROUGH MARCH 25

Team USA is led by skip Jamie Sinclair, a two-time U.S. champion who recently served as an analyst on NBC Olympics’ curling coverage, along with Alex Carlson (vice skip), Vicky Persinger (second), Monica Walker (lead), and Jenna Martin (alternate). Last year, Team USA finished in fifth place at the World Women’s Curling Championship in Beijing, China.

WORLD MEN’S CURLING CHAMPIONSHIP – MARCH 31 – APRIL 8

The U.S. men’s team at the World Men’s Curling Championship will be led by skip Greg Persinger along with Rich Ruohonen, Colin Hufman, and Phil Tilker, after winning the 2018 USA Curling National Championships earlier this month. John Shuster’s rink, which finished fourth last year, did not compete at the National Championships following their historic Olympic gold medal victory in PyeongChang in February.
