EXCHANGE, COMCAST NBCUNIVERSAL BRING FREE STREAMING OF PARALYMPIC GAMES TO MILITARY COMMUNITY

DALLAS and STAMFORD, Conn. – March 8, 2018 Service members and honorably discharged Veterans can enjoy the excitement of the Paralympic Winter Games from their desktops and mobile devices thanks to a partnership between the Army & Air Force Exchange Service and Comcast NBCUniversal.

The PyeongChang Paralympics will take place in South Korea starting with the Opening Ceremony on March 9 and running through March 18. Athletes with disabilities will compete in six sports —alpine skiing, biathlon, cross-country skiing, sled, hockey, snowboard and wheelchair curling — at many of the same facilities used for the Winter Olympics.

NBC will provide a record 156 hours of streaming coverage through NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app for mobile devices. This benefit is provided to current Soldiers, Airmen, Sailors, Marines and Coast Guard members, including Guard and Reserve members. Honorably discharged Veterans can use the benefit too. The streaming is provided by Comcast NBCUniversal in partnership with local cable, satellite, dMVPD and telco providers.

The 2018 Paralympic Games will take place March 9-18, 2018, in PyeongChang, South Korea, with nearly 700 of the world’s finest Paralympic winter athletes competing for glory in 80 events across six different sports on snow and ice.
