ORLANDO, Fla. (Jan. 30, 2018) – Four of the top-5 in the world are in Arizona this week for the Waste Management Phoenix Open, including defending champion (and world No. 5) Hideki Matsuyama. Golf Channel will dedicate more than 20 hours of live tournament and news coverage on-site from TPC Scottsdale Thursday-Sunday, with Golf Central originating from a dedicated set within the par-3 16th hole “coliseum.” On the European Tour, Henrik Stenson and Lee Westwood headline the field at the Maybank Championship in Malaysia.

Golf Central originating from 16th hole at TPC Scottsdale: Originating from a dedicated set positioned within the par-3 16th hole “coliseum,” Golf Central will provide the latest storylines and reaction from on-site at TPC Scottsdale with live coverage leading into and immediately following live tournament coverage Thursday-Sunday. Ryan Burr will host, with Brandel Chamblee and Arron Oberholser providing analysis, and Chantel McCabe offering reports and conducting interviews with players in the field. Charlie Rymer and Gary Williams additionally will be on-site Thursday-Sunday with reports and interviews for Morning Drive.
Matsuyama defends: Hideki Matsuyama outlasted Webb Simpson with a birdie on the fourth playoff hole to earn his fourth PGA TOUR win.
