NBC Sports travels to Mammoth, Calif., for the U.S. Grand Prix for freestyle skiing and snowboarding halfpipe and slopestyle this weekend, headlined by 2014 Olympic snowboarding gold medalist Jamie Anderson and 17-year-old Olympic gold medal favorite Chloe Kim. Both have qualified for the Olympics and are expected to compete as they prepare to represent Team USA in PyeongChang. Mammoth will be the final Olympic qualifying event for U.S. halfpipe and slopestyle hopefuls.
Todd Harris calls the action alongside analyst Todd Richards and reporter Tina Dixon for snowboarding coverage. Analyst Luke Van Valin joins Harris and Dixon for freestyle skiing coverage.

FIS ALPINE SKIING WORLD CUP
COVERAGE BEGINS FRIDAY AT 4 A.M. ET ON OLYMPIC CHANNEL: HOME OF TEAM USA
This week’s coverage of the FIS alpine skiing World Cup season continues from Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy, Friday at 4 a.m. ET on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA. 2014 Olympic slalom gold medalist Mikaela Shiffrin, who has won the last five World Cup races she has entered, is expected to compete in speed races along with 2010 Olympic downhill gold medalist Lindsey Vonn, who won a super-G in Val d’Isere last month.
Coverage of the men’s alpine skiing season on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA continues this Friday at 5:30 a.m. ET from the famed Kitzbuehel, Austria, an event that can be likened to the Super Bowl or Kentucky Derby. The Kitzbuehel downhill is considered one of the most famous and thrilling races of the season. The U.S. team is expected to be headlined by Bryce Bennett, who has qualified for PyeongChang, and 2014 Olympian Jared Goldberg in the downhill races, and Tommy Biesemeyer and two-time Olympic medalist Andrew Weibrecht in the super-G. Three-time Olympian Steven Nyman is expected to compete as well.

FIS FREESTYLE SKIING WORLD CUP

Freestyle skiing moguls has its final U.S. Olympic qualifying event at the Tremblant World Cup in Quebec. 21-year-old Jaelin Kauf and 20-year-old Morgan Schild both clinched their Olympic spots at the World Cup event in Deer Valley last week. On the men’s side, Sochi Olympian Brad Wilson and Troy Murphy are frontrunners to qualify the 2018 PyeongChang Games.
Lake Placid, N.Y., will be the site of the final U.S. Olympic qualifier for the freestyle skiing aerials event. 2015 World Cup champion Kiley McKinnon, who qualified for her first Olympics last week in Deer Valley, and 2017 world champion Ashley Caldwell are expected to headline the women’s field. In men’s aerials, 2015 World Cup champion Mac Bohonnon and 2017 world champion Jon Lillis are expected to lead the Americans.

LIVE COVERAGE BEGINS WEDNESDAY AT 7 A.M. ET ON OLYMPIC CHANNEL: HOME OF TEAM USA
Two-time Olympian and five-time reigning European champion Javier Fernandez of Spain headlines the men’s field, along with Russia’s two-time national champion Mikhail Kolyada. The ladies’ competition is expected to be led by two-time world champion Yevgenia Medvedeva, who has not competed since November due to a foot injury. 15-year-old Alina Zagitova is expected to contend for the podium as well, along with three-time Olympian and Sochi bronze medalist Carolina Kostner of Italy. 2017 world bronze medalists Yevgenia Tarasova and Vladimir Morozov of Russia are expected to lead the pairs’ competition, while France’s two-time world champions Gabriella Papadakis and Guillaume Cizeron should lead the field in ice dance. The event is expected to be an Olympic tune-up for many athletes, though the Olympic Athletes from Russia have not yet been named for February.
2006 Olympic silver medalist Tanith White calls the action alongside analyst Ryan Bradley. Ben Agosto will call the ice dance competition alongside White. Terry Gannon, Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski will anchor NBC’s recap coverage show on Sunday.

The bobsled and skeleton World Cup season concludes in Koenigssee, Germany. Two-time Olympic medalist Elana Meyers Taylor and 2014 Olympic bronze medalist Jamie Greubel Poser are second and fourth, respectively, in the World Cup bobsled rankings, and are expected to headline the women’s field after being named to the 2018 U.S. Olympic team over the weekend. Meyers Taylor is coming off a win in St. Moritz. The American men’s bobsled team also named its Olympic team, led by 23-year-old Codie Bascue, two-time Olympian Nick Cunningham and Olympic gold medalist Justin Olsen, while the U.S. skeleton team features 2014 Olympic bronze medalist Matt Antoine and three-time Olympian Katie Uhlaender; both were named to the U.S. Olympic team this week as well.
