NFL
NBC’s coverage of the NFL Playoffs begins this Saturday, Jan. 6, in primetime, as Todd Gurley and the NFC West champion Los Angeles Rams (11-5) host Matt Ryan and the defending NFC champion Atlanta Falcons (NFC South, 10-6) at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. NBC’s NFL Wild Card coverage on Saturday begins with a special edition of Football Night in America at 7:30 p.m. ET.

Calling Falcons-Rams are Al Michaels (play-by-play), Cris Collinsworth (analyst); and sideline reporter Michele Tafoya.

Football Night in America, the most-watched studio show in sports, will be hosted by Liam McHugh, who will report on-site from Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum, and Dan Patrick, who will host from Studio 1 at NBC Sports Group’s International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn. Patrick is joined by Tony Dungy, Rodney Harrison, and Mike Florio.

U.S. ARMY ALL-AMERICAN BOWL

As the college football season comes to an end, NBC will showcase college stars of  the future on its broadcast of the 18th annual U.S. Army All-American Bowl, live this Saturday, Jan. 6 at 1 p.m. ET.

Paul Burmeister will serve as play-by-play announcer, joined by analyst Anthony Herron, analyst Ross Tucker, and reporters Lewis Johnson and Marty Snider. In addition, Bart Simmons of 247Sports will contribute information. Also on the telecast, all quarterbacks will be wired-for-sound to provide in-game audio.

NHL

NBCSN’s coverage of the NHL this week concludes on Sunday night, when Patrice Bergeron and the Bruins travel to Pittsburgh, Pa., to face the Penguins at 7:30 p.m. ET.

In addition, NBCSN will air the fourth and final episode of the critically-acclaimed “Road to the NHL Winter Classic Presented by Honda” docuseries on Sunday, Jan. 7 at 11 p.m. E.T.

COLLEGE HOCKEY

  1. 2 NOTRE DAME VS. MICHIGAN – SUNDAY AT 3 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

NBCSN’s 2017-18 college hockey coverage continues Sunday with a Big Ten clash between Notre Dame and Michigan at 3 p.m. E.T. on NBCSN.

2018 PRUDENTIAL U.S. FIGURE SKATING CHAMPIONSHIPS

NBC hosts live coverage of the ladies’ free skate, pairs’ free skate, and free dance programs throughout the weekend, beginning this Fri., Jan. 5, at 8 p.m. ET with the ladies’ free program.

NBCSN will present live coverage of the short programs in all four disciplines as well as the men’s free skate (Sat., Jan. 6, at 8 p.m. ET).

NBC Sports Group’s lead figure skating commentary team of play-by-play announcer Terry Gannon, Tara Lipinski, and Johnny Weir, will call the 2018 Prudential U.S. Figure Skating Championships, with Scott Hamilton offering analysis and insight throughout NBC’s coverage this weekend. They’ll be joined by Mike Tirico, who will host coverage throughout the weekend, Tanith White, and reporter Andrea Joyce on-site at the SAP Center. Gannon will be joined by White for Sunday’s free dance competition and the Smucker’s Skating Spectacular on NBC.

U.S. OLYMPIC TRIALS – SPEED SKATING
NBC Sports Group’s coverage of the U.S. Olympic Trials continues with live speed skating today at 6 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

Tom Hammond calls the action from Milwaukee, Wis., joined by 2006 Olympic gold medalist Joey Cheek and Steve Sands.

FIS ALPINE SKIING WORLD CUP

This week’s coverage of the FIS alpine skiing World Cup season continues Wednesday at 10 a.m. ET on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA.

Steve Schlanger (play-by-play) and Steve Porino will call the action.

GOLF

The PGA TOUR returns to action this week as 2017 Player of the Year Justin Thomas is set to defend his title at the Sentry Tournament of Champions in Hawaii. The exclusive field of winners from the previous season convene at Kapalua Resort’s Plantation Course, with coverage airing live and in primetime on Golf Channel, Thursday-Sunday. Golf Central also will originate from on-site, leading into and immediately following live tournament coverage throughout the event.

Play-by-play commentator Rich Lerner is joined by Frank Nobilo (analyst), with Mark Rolfing and Curt Byrum from the tower. Notah Begay, Jim “Bones” Mackay and Jerry Foltz will contribute from the course on Golf Channel.

Ryan Burr will host the Golf Central broadcast joined by Brandel Chamblee and Notah Begay (analysts) with reporter, Todd Lewis.
