Nine Exclusive Matches on NBC Sports Gold’s “Premier League Pass” this Week

STAMFORD, Conn. – December 19, 2017 - NBC Sports Group presents a Premier League packed holiday season with 40 “festive fixtures” in 14 days, beginning this weekend, and more than 20 consecutive hours of Premier League programming on Boxing Day (Tuesday, Dec. 26). As part of its Boxing Day slate, NBC Sports Group will debut a new program, This is Football hosted by MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough, at 4 p.m. ET, followed by The Lane, which captures the 118-year story of Tottenham’s White Hart Lane, on NBCSN at 5 p.m. ET.

This week’s live Premier League coverage begins this Friday, December 22, at 2 p.m. ET with Premier League Live on NBCSN, followed by fifth-place Arsenal v. fourth-place Liverpool at 2:45 p.m. ET. Arsenal come off a 1-0 win over Newcastle, while Liverpool come off a 4-0 win over Bournemouth with goals from Premier League-leading scorer Mohamed Salah (14 goals), Philippe Coutinho, Dejan Lovren, and Roberto Firmino.

NBC Sports Group’s lead Premier League play-by-play commentator Arlo White calls the match, joined by analyst Lee Dixon at Emirates Stadium.

Live Premier League coverage continues Saturday, December 23, at 6:30 a.m. ET with Premier League Live on NBCSN, followed by Everton v. third-place Chelsea at 7:30 a.m. ET. Chelsea have won eight of their last 10 PL matches, but they will be put to the test at Everton, who come off a 3-1 win against Swansea City featuring a goal from their leading scorer Wayne Rooney (10 PL goals).

Saturday’s coverage continues at 10 a.m. ET with first-place Manchester City v. Bournemouth on NBCSN and West Ham v. Newcastle on CNBC and Universo. Manchester City, who sit 11 points clear at the top of the table, are looking to extend their English top-flight record win streak to 17 matches. Also at 10 a.m. ET, NBC Sports Gold presents four exclusive matches: Brighton & Hove Albion v. Watford; Southampton v. Huddersfield Town; Stoke City v. West Bromwich Albion; and Swansea City v. Crystal Palace.

NBC presents a special doubleheader this Saturday, beginning at 12:30 p.m. ET with sixth-place Burnley v. seventh-place Tottenham, followed by Leicester City v. second-place Manchester United at 2:45 p.m. ET. White calls Leicester City v. Manchester United, joined by analyst Graeme Le Saux at King Power Stadium.

NBC Sports Group’s more than 20 hours of Boxing Day coverage begins Tuesday, December 26, at 6:30 a.m. ET with Premier League Live on NBCSN followed by Tottenham v. Southampton at 7:30 a.m. ET. Tuesday at 10 a.m. ET, NBCSN and Universo present Manchester United v. Burnley, while NBC Sports Gold hosts five exclusive matches: Chelsea v. Brighton & Hove Albion; Bournemouth v. West Ham United; Huddersfield Town v. Stoke City; Watford v. Leicester City; and West Bromwich Albion v. Everton.

Tuesday’s match coverage wraps up at 12:30 p.m. ET with Liverpool v. Swansea City on NBCSN.
BOXING DAY PREMIERE SLATE

NBCSN presents an afternoon of original programming premieres, beginning at 4 p.m. ET with the debut of This is Football, hosted by Joe Scarborough, at 4 p.m. ET on NBCSN. In the series, Scarborough, co-host of MSNBC’s Morning Joe and a longtime Premier League fan, will take viewers inside the history, tradition and rivalries between clubs and their supporters. Tuesday at 5 p.m. ET, NBCSN presents the U.S. premiere of The Lane, which captures the 118-year story of Tottenham’s White Hart Lane. The film chronicles the stadium that rose from humble beginnings to become a London landmark, bringing to life the exhilarating match-day experience and recalling those incredible moments in history, from the glory nights to the unique untold stories that shaped lives.

The story is told using rarely seen archival footage of classic moments and interviews with legendary former players such as Cliff Jones, Pat Jennings, Glenn Hoddle, Ledley King and Ossie Ardiles. There’s also unparalleled behind-the-scenes access with the current team as the record-breaking final season at White Hart Lane came to an emotional conclusion in May.

In addition, NBCSN presents a new episode of THE MEN IN BLAZERS SHOW hosted by popular soccer personalities Michael Davies and Roger Bennett. Comedian John Oliver will appear as a guest on this week’s episode.

This week’s live match coverage wraps up with Newcastle v. Manchester City on Wednesday, December 27, at 2:45 p.m. ET on NBCSN, and Crystal Palace v. Arsenal on Thursday, December 28, at 3 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Live match coverage on Wednesday and Thursday begins at 2 p.m. ET with Premier League Live on NBCSN. Rebecca Lowe hosts Premier League Live and Goal Zone, joined by former Jamaica National Team player Robbie Earle, and former Premier League footballer Robbie Mustoe.

The match schedule for December 30 – January 4 will be announced next week.
