NBCSN BEGINS SECOND YEAR OF KFC BIG BASH LEAGUE CRICKET COVERAGE THIS TUESDAY, DECEMBER 19, AT 3:30 A.M. ET, WITH SYDNEY THUNDER VS. SYDNEY SIXERS

NBCSN to Televise 10 KFC Big Bash League Cricket Matches During 2017-18 Season, Including Two Semifinals & BBL Cricket Championship

Second Season of BBL Cricket Coverage Includes 7 Live Matches on NBCSN

STAMFORD, Conn. – December 18, 2017 – NBCSN jumpstarts its second year of KFC Big Bash League cricket coverage with live action this Tuesday, Dec. 19, at 3:30 a.m. ET, when the 2016-17 BBL runner-up Sydney Thunder face off against the Sydney Sixers at Sydney Showground Stadium in Sydney, Australia.

NBCSN will present coverage of 10 KFC Big Bash League cricket matches during the 2017-18 season, including seven live matches during the regular season, as well as two KFC BBL Semifinal matches and the KFC BBL Final. In addition, NBCSN will air encore presentations of all regular-season matches.

NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app — NBC Sports Group’s live streaming platforms for desktops, mobile devices, tablets, and connected TVs — will provide live streaming coverage of all 10 KFC BBL Cricket matches airing on NBCSN. Featuring many of the best Twenty20 cricket players in the world, eight clubs from across Australia compete in the KFC Big Bash League, including the  Sydney Thunder, Sydney Sixers, Hobart Hurricanes, Perth Scorchers, Melbourne Stars, Melbourne Renegades, Brisbane Heat, and the Adelaide Strikers.

Roz Kelly will serve as studio host for Tuesday morning’s season-opener, and Mark Howard will handle play-by-play duties. Kelly and Howard will be joined by analysts and former cricketing greats Mark Waugh and Ricky Ponting. NBCSN will televise an encore presentation of the match on Wednesday, December 20 at 5 p.m. ET.

KFC Big Bash League live coverage continues on Tuesday, Dec. 26, at 3 a.m. ET, when the reigning BBL champion Perth Scorchers host the Stars at W.A.C.A. Ground in Perth, Western Australia. An encore presentation of Scorchers-Stars will air Wednesday, December 27 at 6 p.m. ET.
