The Winter Olympics Begin Feb. 8 on the Networks of NBCUniversal

STAMFORD, Conn. – December 14, 2017 – Mary Carillo, David Feherty, and Ato Boldon will serve as correspondents for NBC Olympics coverage of the XXIII Olympic Winter Games in PyeongChang, South Korea. The Winter Olympics begin Feb. 8, 2018 on the networks of NBCUniversal.

Carillo, Feherty, and Boldon join David Chang and Scott Hamilton, who were previously announced as Olympic correspondents. The correspondents will explore the culture, people, and traditions in South Korea, while also telling stories about the athletes and competition.

In addition, Joshua Cooper Ramo, Co-CEO of Kissinger Associates, will serve as a contributor in PyeongChang.

Mary Carillo

  • 14th Olympic assignment and 11th with NBC Sports Group
  • Carillo has spent time traversing South Korea, partly with fellow correspondent David Chang, to film her travelogues, which have been a fundamental part of introducing the people, culture, and history of the host country and city to the U.S. television audience since the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
  • Carillo has served in many roles for NBC Olympics, most recently serving as an Olympic correspondent for the 2016 Rio Olympic Games.
  • Carillo also served as a correspondent for the 2014 Sochi Olympics and was the host and interviewer for a primetime 20-year retrospective documentary on Olympic figure skaters Nancy Kerrigan andTonya Harding.
  • In 2003, Carillo joined NBC as an analyst on the network’s French Open and Wimbledon coverage, teaming with analyst John McEnroe and play-by-play commentator Ted Robinson. She currently serves as an analyst for NBC’s coverage of the French Open.
  • Carillo played on the professional tennis tour from 1977-80. Teaming with childhood friend John McEnroe, Carillo won the 1977 French Open mixed doubles title.  In 1977 she was doubles quarterfinalist at the US Open and a doubles runner-up at the U.S. Clay Court Championships.

David Feherty

  • 2nd Olympic assignment with NBC Sports
  • Feherty made his debut at the 2016 Rio Games as an NBC Olympics correspondent and on-course reporter for the men’s golf competition.
  • Has been with Golf Channel since 2011 as a host of his Emmy-nominated, self-titled interview series Feherty, and joined NBC Sports Group exclusively in 2016, contributing to live tournament coverage of the PGA TOUR.
  • A native of Northern Ireland, Feherty claimed 10 worldwide professional golf victories prior to beginning his television career which now spans nearly 25 years.

Ato Boldon

  • Sixth Olympics overall with NBC Sports
  • Track and field analyst for the past four Olympic Games; served as an Olympic correspondent at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi, Russia
  • Won silver in the 100m at the 2000 Olympic Games in Sydney
  • Served as a features contributor for the 2017 NASCAR season

Joshua Cooper Ramo

David Chang

  • Making NBC Olympics debut in PyeongChang
  • Chef and founder of Momofuku, which includes restaurants in New York, Washington D.C., Sydney, Toronto, Las Vegas, and a bakery (Milk Bar) established by award-winning pastry chef Christina Tosi with multiple locations
  • Since 2004, Chang has been honored with five James Beard Foundation Awards (Rising Star Chef of the Year, Best Chef New York City, Best New Restaurant – Momofuku Ko, Outstanding Chef, Who’s Who of Food and Beverage). Momofuku Ko has two Michelin stars, which it has maintained since 2009.
  • Before opening Noodle Bar in 2004, Chang worked in the kitchens of Jean-Georges Vongerichten, Daniel Boulud and Tom Colicchio.
  • His cookbook, Momofuku, is a New York Times best seller
  • Chang has been featured on the covers of Forbes Life and New York magazine and, was recognized as one of Time magazine’s 100, Fortune’s “40 Under 40,” Fast Company’s “1000 most creative people in business,” and Esquire’s “most influential people of the 21st century.”
  • He is a regular contributor to GQ magazine, and was recognized in the magazine’s man of the year issue in 2007.

Scott Hamilton

  • 5th Olympics with NBC Sports, 8th Olympics overall
  • NBC Olympics figure skating analyst since 2002
  • Won the gold medal in men’s figure skating at the 1984 Sarajevo Games
  • A member of the United States Olympic Hall of Fame and the World Figure Skating Hall of Fame
  • A four-time world champion, Hamilton also won five Grand Prix titles, including three at Skate America.
