PRO FOOTBALL HALL OF FAMER & NFL NETWORK ANALYST KURT WARNER TO CALL TWO DECEMBER NFL GAMES WITH MIKE TIRICO

Two-Time NFL MVP Warner Joins Tirico & Sideline Reporter Heather Cox for Dec. 16 Bears-Lions Game on NFL Network & Steelers-Texans on NBC Christmas Special

STAMFORD, Conn. – December 5, 2017 – Pro Football Hall of Fame quarterback and NFL Network analyst Kurt Warner will join NBC Sports’ commentator Mike Tirico in the booth for a pair of NFL telecasts produced by NBC Sports later this month.

A two-time NFL MVP, Warner joins Tirico and sideline reporter Heather Cox on the Chicago Bears-Detroit Lions NFC North matchup Saturday, Dec. 16 on NFL Network. Nine days later, the trio will handle the NBC Christmas Special between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Houston Texans, which will also be televised by NFL Network and streamed live on Amazon Prime Video, NBCSports.com, the NBC Sports app, NFL Mobile from Verizon, Watch NFL Network, the NFL app on Microsoft, and NFL Game Pass (International). On those two weekends, Cris Collinsworth will be in the booth for Raiders-Cowboys on NBC Sunday Night Football on Dec. 17 and Vikings-Packers on Dec. 23.

“I have always been a fan of Kurt Warner the person, the player, and the broadcaster, and am excited to see him share his expertise with Mike and Heather,” said Fred Gaudelli, Executive Producer of NBC Sunday Night Football and Thursday Night Football.

“There is nothing I enjoy more than being at the stadium on game day – being able to watch the action up close and experience the energy of the fans – so I am extremely excited about joining Mike, Heather and the entire NBC team as an analyst for these two games in December,” said Warner, the only player in NFL history with three 350-yard passing games in the Super Bowl. “I look forward to using my unique experiences to contribute to NBC’s already incredible coverage of the NFL.”

Warner, who earned Super Bowl XXXIV MVP honors for his performance in the St. Louis Rams’ 23-17 victory over the Tennessee Titans, joined NFL Network as an analyst in 2010, following his decorated 12-year NFL career (1998-2009 with Rams, Giants, and Cardinals).

Warner serves as an analyst on NFL Network’s NFL GameDay Morning on Sundays, and on weekdays on NFL Total Access. In addition, he has been an analyst for Westwood One coverage of Monday Night Football since 2014. Previously, Warner served as an NFL game analyst for Fox in 2010 and an Arena Football League game analyst for NFL Network.
