STAMFORD, Conn. – November 15, 2017 – NBC’s Sunday Night Football marks the latest installment of a classic NFC East rivalry, as Carson Wentz and the first-place Philadelphia Eagles (8-1) travel to Arlington, Texas, to face Dak Prescott and the second-place Dallas Cowboys (5-4) in a battle of playoff contenders. Coverage begins with Football Night in America this Sunday, Nov. 19, at 7 p.m. ET, on NBC.

Philadelphia enters Sunday’s game on a seven-game winning streak and is 8-1 for the fifth time in franchise history. The Wentz-led Eagles rank fourth in total offense (377.0 yards per game). Wentz is the third quarterback since 1950 to amass more than 2,000 passing yards, 19 passing touchdowns and 200 rushing yards through the first eight games of a season, joining Hall of Fame quarterbacks Steve Young and Fran Tarkenton. Philadelphia ranks first in the NFL in rushing defense, allowing 66.4 yards per game.

The Cowboys look to rebound from a 27-7 loss against Atlanta on Sunday after three consecutive wins. Prescott has passed for 13 touchdowns and two interceptions in his last seven starts. The 2016 Offensive Rookie of the Year is one of four quarterbacks since 1970 to account for 50 touchdowns in his first 25 career games. Defensively, the Cowboys are led by DE Demarcus Lawrence, whose career-high 11.5 sacks rank first in the league.

Dallas holds the edge in the all-time series, 62-50, and are 12-10 against Philadelphia in regular-season primetime games, including 5-5 in NBC Sunday Night Football contests. Prescott and the Cowboys rallied from a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter last season to beat the Eagles, 29-23, in overtime on SNF.

Calling Eagles-Cowboys are seven-time Emmy Award-winner Al Michaels (play-by-play), in his record 32nd season as the voice of the NFL’s premier primetime package; 16-time Emmy Award-winner Cris Collinsworth; and two-time Emmy Award-winning sideline reporter Michele Tafoya.

NBC’s coverage of Sunday Night Football is led by Emmy Award-winning producer Fred Gaudelli and Emmy Award-winning director Drew Esocoff.

Football Night in America, the most-watched studio show in sports, is hosted by Mike Tirico, who will report on-site from AT&T Stadium, and Dan Patrick, who will host from Studio 1 at NBC Sports Group’s International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn. Week 11 kicks off tomorrow on NBC, as Ben Roethlisberger and the Pittsburgh Steelers (7-2) host Marcus Mariota and the Tennessee Titans (6-3) in a showdown of AFC division leaders at Heinz Field in Pittsburgh, Pa., on Thursday Night Football. Coverage starts at 7:30 p.m. ET with Football Night in Pittsburgh on NBC, the only network with two primetime NFL packages. For Titans-Steelers, NBC will utilize its SkyCam system to present a new primary-viewing angle for live game coverage. FLEXIBLE SCHEDULING: Flexible scheduling will be used in Weeks 10-15 and 17. Additionally, in Weeks 5-9, flexible scheduling may be used in no more than two weeks. In Weeks 5-15, the schedule lists the games tentatively set for Sunday Night Football on NBC. Only Sunday afternoon games are eligible to be moved to Sunday night, in which case the tentatively scheduled Sunday night game would be moved to an afternoon start time. Flexible scheduling will not be applied to games airing on Thursday, Saturday or Monday nights.

A flexible scheduling move would be announced at least 12 days before the game. For Week 17, the Sunday night game will be announced no later than six days prior to January 1. The schedule does not list a Sunday night game in Week 17, but an afternoon game with playoff implications will be moved to that time slot. Flexible scheduling ensures quality matchups in all Sunday time slots in those weeks and gives “surprise” teams a chance to play their way into primetime.
