2016 U.S. Olympian Mackenzie Brown Highlights Recurve Bow Finals This Sunday on NBCSN at 11 p.m. ET
STAMFORD, Conn. – October 20, 2017 – NBC Sports Group presents coverage of 2017 World Archery Championships from Mexico City this weekend, beginning Saturday, Oct. 21, at 11 p.m. ET with medal matches for the compound bow competition on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA. On Sunday, Oct. 22, NBCSN presents coverage of the recurve bow finals at 11 p.m. ET, with an encore presentation on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA at midnight ET.
Saturday’s coverage of the medal matches for compound, which is a non-Olympic discipline, is highlighted by American Braden Gellenthien. Gellenthien, who won the World Cup Final last month in Rome, faces Pierre-Julien Deloche of France for bronze after falling to reigning world champion Stephan Hansen of Denmark in the semifinals. Hansen will look to become the first man to win the compound world championship twice when he faces off against France’s Sebastien Peineau. Gellenthien, along with Americans Kristofer Schaff and Steve Anderson, will also compete in the compound men’s team gold medal final against Italy.
2016 U.S. Olympian Mackenzie Brown highlights coverage of Sunday’s recurve finals, the event contested at the Olympics. Brown upset top-seeded Kang Chae-Young of South Korea to advance to Sunday’s bronze medal final against Chinese Taipei’s Tan Ya-Ting.
