FOOTBALL NIGHT IN AMERICA FEATURES PETER KING’S INTERVIEW WITH DENVER BRONCOS QB TREVOR SIEMIAN

“I pinch myself for a number of reasons. It helps when you’ve got Mr. Elway in the building.” – Denver Broncos QB Trevor Siemian

STAMFORD, Conn. – October 15, 2017 – Tonight’s Week 6 edition of NBC’s Football Night in America, the most-watched weekly studio show in sports, will feature an interview by NFL Insider Peter King with Denver Broncos QB Trevor Siemian, which took place during Siemian’s morning commute to practice earlier this week. Football Night will also feature a recap of the New York Giants’ struggles this season, and highlights, analysis and reaction to earlier Week 6 games, ahead of tonight’s Giants-Broncos Sunday Night Football showdown.

Football Night airs each Sunday at 7 p.m. ET on NBC. Mike Tirico will host Sunday’s program live from inside the stadium, joined on site by the Sunday Night Football team of Al Michaels, Cris Collinsworth and Michele Tafoya.

Dan Patrick hosts Football Night from NBC Sports Group’s Studio 1, joined by Super Bowl-winning head coach Tony Dungy, two-time Super Bowl winner Rodney Harrison, and NFL Insider Mike Florio of NBC Sports’ Pro Football Talk. Kathryn Tappen will report from Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City, Mo., on the Steelers-Chiefs game.

PETER KING WITH TREVOR SIEMIAN

Siemian on tearing his ACL in college against Purdue in 2014: “When you have an injury like that you kind of, you know, you get a little down, and I was thinking, ‘Well, shoot, this probably my last time playing.’”

King: “That day on the field, you’re lying there, ‘This is probably it for me?’”

Siemian: “Yep. I thought that was it.”

Siemian on being alongside Peyton Manning in his final season as he struggled with his health: “For me to see (Manning) on a year when he wasn’t setting the world on fire statistically, when he had to battle through injury and be the kind of pro and teammate and leader he was, that was really cool for me to see. And ultimately (to) win a Super Bowl, I thought that was special.”

Siemian on what he was thinking when Von Miller first nicknamed him Peter Parker: “I think my attire isn’t as out there as Von’s. Maybe I get to step up my post-game dress.”

Siemian on if it ever occurs to him that John Elway can stand on his balcony and watch him during practice: “I pinch myself for a number of reasons. It helps when you’ve got Mr. Elway in the building. I’m like, ‘They’re paying us to be here.’ That’s pretty remarkable.”
