STAMFORD, Conn. – September 25, 2017 – This week’s coverage on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA – a partnership between the International Olympic Committee, the United States Olympic Committee, and NBCUniversal – is highlighted by 12 hours of live coverage from the 2017 FISA World Rowing Championships, as the event returns to United States for the first time in 23 years.
This week’s event coverage also features the first event of the ISU Short Track World Cup season from Budapest, Hungary, beginning on Saturday at 6 p.m. ET. Led by three-time Olympic medalist J.R Celski, the American team will be competing for Olympic qualification spots.
In addition, Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA will recount the gold medal run of the U.S. women’s soccer team at the 2012 London Games by airing four matches this week, beginning tonight at 6 p.m. ET and concluding with the gold medal match vs. Japan on Thursday at 6 p.m. ET. Primetime coverage on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA features the original broadcasts of the last seven summer Olympic Ceremonies, beginning tonight at 8 p.m. ET.

2017 FISA WORLD ROWING CHAMPIONSHIPS – BEGINNING THURSDAY AT 10 A.M. ET
Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA presents live coverage of the 2017 FISA World Rowing Championships beginning this Thursday, September 28, at 10 a.m. ET from Nathan Benderson Park in Sarasota, Fla., marking the return of the event to the United States for the first time in 23 years.
The 2017 FISA World Rowing Championships will feature participants from across 65 countries, including a contingent of 78 athletes from the United States. The group includes the flagship boat of the U.S. team, the women’s eight, which will look to continue its unprecedented, 11-year winning streak at both the World Championships and Olympics. The team is highlighted by 2016 Olympic gold medalists Emily Regan and Lauren Schmetterling. Coverage on the Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA begins Thursday at 10 a.m. ET with semifinals A and B, followed by Friday’s coverage of the A finals at 11 a.m. ET, Saturday’s coverage of the A finals at 10 a.m. ET and concludes with Sunday’s coverage of the A finals at 9:30 a.m. ET.
NBCSN will also present same-day delayed coverage on Friday at 10:30 p.m. ET and Sunday at 11 p.m. ET.
The preliminary rounds of the FISA World Rowing Championships are also available to stream via authentication on the Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA app and OlympicChannel.com beginning today through Wednesday.
OLYMPIC CHANNEL: HOME OF TEAM USA RELIVES U.S. WOMEN’S SOCCER TEAM’S GOLD MEDAL RUN AT 2012 LONDON GAMES, BEGINNING TONIGHT AT 6 P.M. ET
Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA will present four matches from the U.S. Women’s gold-medal run at the 2012 London Olympics beginning tonight at 6 p.m. ET.
Coverage begins with the United States’ preliminary match against France, followed by the quarterfinal versus New Zealand on Tuesday and the semifinal vs. Canada on Wednesday, a drama-filled overtime match that saw the United States advance to its fifth straight gold medal game on the heels of a game-winning goal by Alex Morgan in the 123rd minute. Coverage will conclude with the gold medal game against Japan – a rematch of the 2011 World Cup Final – on Thursday. All matches will air at 6 p.m. ET.
OLYMPIC OPENING CEREMONIES – BEGINNING MONDAY AT 8 P.M. ET
Each night this week at 8 p.m. ET, the Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA will air NBC’s original broadcasts of the Opening Ceremony from the past seven Olympic Games from 1992 to 2016, beginning with the Opening Ceremony from Rio tonight at 8 p.m. ET, followed by London at 11 p.m. ET. The primetime telecasts will take viewers back through the history of the summer Olympic Ceremonies, concluding with the 1992 Barcelona Games on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET.
