“Draftsville” – A Short-Form Original Digital Video Series Starring Actor and Former Saturday Night Live Cast Member Darrell Hammond

Today, NBC Sports Digital premiered “Draftsville,” a new short-form original digital video series starring actor and former Saturday Night Live cast member Darrell Hammond. The series is a partnership between NBC Sports Digital and Above Average’s sports comedy website, The Kicker. It debuted in time for NFL Kickoff 2017 across NBC Sports.com and NBC Sports’ and The Kickers’ social media platforms.

“Draftsville” reimagines NBC’s popular television series Friday Night Lights with the head coach in charge of a fantasy football team instead of a high school football team. The series incorporates NBC Sports Digital’s Rotoworld, the industry-leading source for fantasy football news and information, as the coach utilizes its resources to obsessively craft his team. The three-episode series will follow the “drama” of the fantasy football-crazed town, with the following 5-minute episodes debuting Thursday, September 14, and Thursday, September 21. The episodes will debut on NBCSports.com as well as the Facebook pages and Twitter handles for SNF on NBC, The Kicker, Rotoworld, and NBC Sports. “Draftsville” is produced for NBC Sports Group by The Kicker, with shareable content running across NBC Sports Digital assets.

“Draftsville” is the continuation of a short-form digital video series partnership between NBC Sports Digital and The Kicker, with previous projects including “The Pits,” a NASCAR series sponsored by SONIC Drive-In, and “Sports…The Musical,” created for NBC Sports Digital last year.
