ORLANDO, Fla. (Sept. 1, 2017) –2017 PGA champion and golf’s youngest member of the 59 club – Justin Thomas – will join David Feherty for the season finale on his self-titled, Emmy-nominated “Outstanding Weekly Studio Show,” Feherty presented by Farmers Insurance, premiering Monday, September 4 at 9 p.m. ET on Golf Channel. Golf fans will have an opportunity to celebrate Labor Day in style on Monday, with final round coverage of the PGA TOUR’s second FedExCup Playoffs event, the Dell Technologies Championship, (11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Golf Channel; 1:30-6 p.m. ET on NBC) as a prelude to the season finale episode with Thomas at 9 p.m. ET on Golf Channel.

Filmed at Thomas’ home in Jupiter, Fla., just three days following his first major championship victory, the interview centers around several aspects of his breakthrough season, including:

  • Joining the 59 club at age 23 – becoming the youngest PGA TOUR player to shoot 59 – during the first round of the 2017 Sony Open while playing alongside good friends Jordan Spieth and Daniel Berger.
  • Recounting how he literally choked on the 17th hole on Sunday at the PGA Championship en route to his first major championship victory.
  • What was going through his mind on the 10th hole during the final round at Quail Hollow for the 12 seconds when his birdie putt hung on the lip of the hole.
  • Thomas also discusses his close friendships with Jordan Spieth, Rickie Fowler and the new generation of stars on TOUR.

Described as “golf’s iconoclast,” by Rolling Stone, and “the last unscripted man on TV,” by Men’s Journal, Feherty is coming off a banner year in 2016. Highlights include: sitting down with now four U.S. Presidents: Bill Clinton, George W. Bush, Barack Obama, and Donald Trump; serving as an NBC Olympic correspondent in Rio; appearing on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon; being profiled on the Emmy award-winning HBO original series, Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel; and playing a key role in NBC Sports’ unprecedented 12-week stretch of premier golf events beginning with The Open and concluding with the Ryder Cup.
