STAMFORD, Conn. – August 21, 2017 – This week, coverage on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA – a partnership between the International Olympic Committee, the United States Olympic Committee, and NBCUniversal – is highlighted by Olympic champions Kyle Snyder, Helen Maroulis and Jordan Burroughs competing at the 2017 World Wrestling Championships in Paris, France, as well as four-time Tour de France winner Chris Froome (Team Sky) looking to complete the Grand Tour double with a win at the 2017 Vuelta a España after winning the Tour de France last month.

In addition, Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA will present live coverage of the FINA World Junior Swimming Championships from Indianapolis, Ind.

Following are highlights from this week’s programming on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA:


2017 WORLD WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIPS – LIVE COVERAGE DAILY AT 1 P.M. ET

Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA will present live daily coverage of the 2017 World Wrestling Championships from Paris, France, at 1 p.m. ET, beginning Monday. NBCSN will also present same-day delayed coverage on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m. ET, Thursday at 4 p.m. ET, Friday at 7 p.m. ET, and Sunday at 3 p.m. ET, totaling more than 20 hours of coverage across Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA and NBCSN.

Snyder and Burroughs will wrestle in their respective weight classes on Saturday. Maroulis won the first U.S. Olympic women’s wrestling gold medal in Rio, and is slated to compete on Wednesday.


VUELTA A ESPAÑA – LIVE DAILY COVERAGE AT 10 A.M. ET

Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA continues its coverage of the 2017 Vuelta a España – the final Grand Tour of the season – this week with live daily coverage at 10 a.m. ET. Running from Saturday, August 19, to Sunday, September 10, the Vuelta is made up of 21 stages, and will cover a total distance of more than 2,000 miles.

Four-time Tour de France winner Chris Froome (Team Sky) looks to complete the Grand Tour double with a win at the Vuelta after winning the Tour de France last month. He will be joined by three-time Vuelta winner Alberto Contador (Trek–Segafredo), and 2014 Tour de France and 2010 Vuelta winner Vincenzo Nibali (Bahrain–Merida).

Paul Sherwen calls the race, joined by analyst and former professional cyclist Bob Roll.


FINA WORLD JUNIOR SWIMMING CHAMPIONSHIPS – LIVE DAILY COVERAGE AT 6 P.M. ET BEGINNING WEDNESDAY

Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA will present live daily coverage of the FINA World Junior Swimming Championships from Indianapolis, Ind., beginning Wednesday at 6 p.m. ET. Nearly 630 swimmers from around the world are expected to compete at the event, including 42 swimmers representing the United States.

Jason Knapp calls the action joined by analyst Rowdy Gaines.

 

FIS WORLD CUP FREESTYLE SKIING – SATURDAY AT 8:30 P.M. ET

“Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA will present live coverage of freestyle skiing from the FIS World Cup in Cardrona, New Zealand, this Saturday night at 8:30 p.m. ET. Notable Americans slated to compete include 2014 Olympic silver medalist Gus Kenworthy and 2017 world champion McRae Williams.

Trace Worthington (play-by-play) and Luke Van Valin (analyst) will provide commentary.”
