NASCAR

NBC Sports Group moves into its eighth week of live 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and XFINITY Series racing, with 19 hours of trackside coverage from Bristol Motor Speedway, in Bristol, Tennessee. NBC Sports Group’s race coverage from “The Last Great Colosseum” begins Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN, with XFINITY Series racing, and culminates Saturday night at 7 p.m. ET on NBC, with Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series racing.

NBC Sports Group kicks off its Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series coverage from Bristol Motor Speedway, this Friday at 10 a.m. ET. Final practice begins at 12:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN, followed by NASCAR America at 5 p.m. ET and qualifying at 5:30 p.m. ET.

Saturday’s race day coverage begins at 5:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN, with NASCAR America, and leads into NBC Sports Group’s pre-race show, Countdown to Green, at 7 p.m. ET on NBC. NASCAR Cup Series racing begins at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBC, and is followed by a live on-site NASCAR Cup Series post-race show. NBCSN wraps up coverage at 11 p.m. ET on NBCSN, with a special edition of Victory Lap, NBC Sports Group’s NASCAR post-race show, originating from Bristol Motor Speedway.

NBC Sports Group’s lead race announcer Rick Allen will call this weekend’s Monster Energy and XFINITY Series action alongside Steve Letarte and Jeff Burton.

Krista Voda will host pre- and post-race coverage alongside Kyle Petty and Dale Jarrett. Marty Snider, Kelli Stavast, Dave Burns and Parker Kligerman will report from pit road. In addition, Ato Boldon returns to NBC Sports Group’s live race coverage this weekend.

NBC Sports Group’s XFINITY Series coverage continues Friday, with XFINITY Series qualifying at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Pre-race Countdown to Green coverage starts at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Race coverage begins at 7:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

 

INDYCAR

The Verizon IndyCar Series rolls into Pocono Raceway this weekend. NBCSN will televise live qualifying on Saturday at 1 p.m. ET, followed by pre-race coverage on Sunday at 2 p.m. ET and race coverage at 2:30 p.m. ET.

Kevin Lee (play-by-play) will call the action alongside analysts Paul Tracy and Townsend Bell. Reporters Jon Beekhuis, Katie Hargitt, Robin Miller and Anders Krohn will report from the pits.

 

MOTORSPORTS

NBCSN presents more than 15 hours of Mecum: Auctions: Monterey coverage. Friday’s live coverage starts at 2 p.m. ET, followed by more auction action at 10 p.m. ET. NBCSN will televise live coverage on Saturday at 2:30 p.m. ET, followed by tape-delayed coverage Sunday at 12 a.m. ET and 6 p.m. ET.

Scott Hoke will host NBCSN’s Mecum Auctions coverage on-site from Monterey, alongside analysts John Kraman, Stephen Cox, Bill Stephens, and reporter Katie Osborne. NBC Sports’ F1 analyst, Steve Matchett, will join coverage on Friday and Saturday.

The Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship continues with the Budds Creek National from Mechanicsville, Md., this Saturday. NBC will present live coverage of the Moto 2s at 3 p.m. ET, followed by NBCSN’s coverage of the Moto 2s at 7 p.m. ET.

 

Veteran play-by-play voice Jason Weigandt, analyst Grant Langston, and pit reporter Georgia Lindsay will call this weekend’s action.

 

PREMIER LEAGUE

This week’s Premier League coverage begins this Saturday, August 19, at 7 a.m. ET on NBCSN with Premier League Live followed by Swansea City v. Manchester United at 7:30 a.m. ET on NBCSN and UNIVERSO. Romelu Lukaku led the Red Devils to a 4-0 season-opening win against West Ham United with two goals.

Live match coverage continues Saturday at 10 a.m. ET with Liverpool v. Crystal Palace on NBCSN and UNIVERSO. Crystal Palace look to rebound after a 3-0 loss to newly promoted Huddersfield Town.

Saturday at 12:30 p.m. ET, Stoke City host Arsenal on NBC. Arsenal are fresh off a 4-3 comeback victory over Leicester City in the Premier League’s first Friday night opener in the 129-year history of English football’s top tier. White calls the match joined by Lee Dixon.

Sunday’s coverage begins at 7:30 a.m. ET with Premier League Live on NBCSN, followed by a match between two newly promoted teams, Huddersfield Town and Newcastle United at 8:30 a.m. ET.

All matches will be preceded and followed by Premier League Live pre- and post-match shows from the NBC Sports Group International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn. Rebecca Lowe hosts Premier League Live, joined by former Major League Soccer and U.S. Men’s National Team midfielder Kyle Martino and former Premier League footballer Robbie Mustoe.

This week, coverage on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA – a partnership between the International Olympic Committee, the United States Olympic Committee, and NBCUniversal – is highlighted by 2016 Rio Olympian and four-time  U.S. all-around champion Sam Mikulak competing at the 2017 P&G Gymnastics Championships, as well as four-time Tour de France winner Chris Froome (Team Sky) looking to complete the Grand Tour double with a win at the 2017 Vuelta a España after winning the Tour de France last month.

In addition, Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA will debut five new episodes of Heroes of the Future. The Olympic champions of tomorrow are hard at work today, and Heroes of the Future profiles those young athletes from around the world who are already at the top of their games. Episodes will air at 5:30 p.m. ET Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

 

IAAF WORLD TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS

NBC Sports Group continues coverage of the IAAF Diamond League this Sunday, August 20, from Birmingham, England, live at 10 a.m. ET on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA. NBCSN will present encore coverage of the event Sunday at 9 p.m. ET.

Paul Swangard calls the action joined by analysts Kellie Wells and Josh Cox.

 

P&G GYMNASTICS CHAMPIONSHIPS

NBC Sports Group kicks off live coverage of the 2017 P&G Gymnastics Championships from the Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif. with live women’s competition Friday, August 18, at 11 p.m. ET on NBCSN, and culminates this Sunday, August 20, with the women’s competition at 7 p.m. ET on NBC.

Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA presents encore coverage of the men’s competition Sunday, August 20, at 2:30 p.m. ET and encore coverage of the women’s competition Sunday at 10 p.m. ET.

NBC Sports Group’s gymnastics team of play-by-play voice Al Trautwig, two-time Olympic medalist Tim Daggett, 2008 Olympic all-around champion Nastia Liukin and reporter Andrea Joyce will host coverage.

 

VUELTA A ESPAÑA

NBC Sports Group begins live coverage of all 21 stages of the 2017 Vuelta a España – the final Grand Tour of the season – this Saturday, August 19, at 11:30 a.m. ET on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA. Coverage concludes on Sunday, September 10, in Madrid. NBCSN will televise encore presentations of select stages throughout the race, beginning with Stage 3 on Monday, August 21, at Noon ET.

Paul Sherwen calls the action for Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA and NBCSN coverage, joined by analyst Bob Roll. Matthew Keenan will provide play-by-play commentary for 2017 Vuelta a España coverage on NBC Sports Gold, joined by Baden Cooke and David Mckenzie, who will rotate as analysts.

 

HORSE RACING

Led by defending Breeders’ Cup Classic winner and Longines World No. 1 ranked race horse, Arrogate, a field of eight horses is set for the 1 ¼ mile, $1 million Pacific Classic this Saturday, August 19, at 8:00 p.m. ET from Del Mar Racetrack in Del Mar, Calif., on the live NBCSN telecast of the “Breeders’ Cup Challenge Series: Win and You’re In – Presented by Lane’s End Farm and America’s Best Racing.

Saturday’s program will be hosted by Laffit Pincay III, who will be joined by analyst Randy Moss and reporters Nick Luck and Jay Privman. Daily Racing Form’s Matt Bernier will serve as the Handicapper.

 

2017 WOMEN’S RUGBY WORLD CUP

NBC Sports continues its coverage of the 2017 Women’s Rugby World Cup from Ireland on Sunday, August 20 at 11p.m ET on NBCSN.

Leigh Diffey, Danny Pommels, Carolyn Manno, and Amy Fadool, will host studio coverage alongside Knight throughout NBC Sports’ coverage.

 

AVP PRO BEACH VOLLEYBALL

NBC Sports Group’s live coverage of the 2017 AVP Pro Beach Volleyball Tour continues from Manhattan Beach Pier, Calif., this Sunday August 20, at 2:30 p.m. ET on NBC.

Chris Marlowe serves as the play-by-play announcer, joined by Kevin Wong (analyst) and Dain Blanton (reporter).

 

GOLF

NBC Sports Group is gearing up to showcase one of the biggest weeks in women’s golf when the biennial Solheim Cup – pitting the top players representing the United States and Europe in three days of match play competition – returns to American soil. The matches will take place Friday-Sunday, Aug. 18-20 at Des Moines Country Club in West Des Moines, Iowa, where the United States looks to defend the Solheim Cup trophy.

Saturday and Sunday, Aug. 19 and 20, NBC will air the conclusion of the day’s matches from 4-6 p.m. ET. This marks the Solheim Cup’s return to network television for the first time in 15 years. In total, Golf Channel and NBC will combine for nearly 30 hours of live tournament action, from the first tee shot to the final putt. Golf Channel also will air coverage of both the Solheim Cup opening and closing ceremonies.

Golf Channel and NBC’s coverage of the Solheim Cup will be led by play-by-play host Terry Gannon and Judy Rankin. Grant Boone and Karen Stupples will rotate with Gannon and Rankin in the booth during the three days of coverage. Tom Abbott will serve as a hole announcer, with Kay Cockerill, Jerry Foltz, Jim Gallagher, Jr. and Stupples following the U.S. and European teams on the ground as course reporters.
