On I.K. Kim, current leader at 10-under par
Tom Abbott – “I.K. Kim continuing her terrific form in 2017.”

Ally McDonald (8-under par after two rounds) speaking with Golf Channel’s Cara Robinson following her round
Ally McDonald – “It has been a good 36 holes. I missed the first green of the day which threw off the whole 18 greens in a row yesterday, but that was fine. That was my one bogey of the day, got it out of the way early. Then I played really solid golf for 17 holes after that.”
McDonald – It was a little different today. I think the wind direction shifted too so we really saw some different holes as far as downwind and into the wind. I think a few of the holes played a little easier due to the winds. It was a good 18 holes. I played solid golf and looking forward to the weekend.”
McDonald – “I put myself in a good position which is all you can do. You can’t win it after 36 holes but I’m very pleased with how I played and I’m looking forward to hopefully playing my best this weekend and seeing where that puts me.”

On Anna Nordqvist, 6-under par after two rounds (2-under 70 on Friday)
Karen Stupples – “She has been very solid with her putting today.”
Judy Rankin – “I do believe she has proven herself healthy enough to play in the Solheim Cup matches regardless of what she does this weekend.”

Anna Nordqvist speaking with Golf Channel’s Cara Robinson following her round
Anna Nordqvist – “I’ve been hitting it really good the last two days and giving myself chances. Today I felt like a little more on and off with the rain and a little bit of wind switching on and off. Only two bogeys the first two days. Been very solid so I’m happy.”
Nordqvist – “I think I got lucky that I got the morning then the afternoon wave so I got a little bit of time to rest. I was a little tired today but it was a little cooler and a little more rain. But I’m happy to be done and ready for the weekend.”

On Michelle Wie, 4-under par after two rounds (4-over 76 on Friday)
Jerry Foltz – “As Judy Rankin says often, Michelle Wie is the great unknown. There is a great curiosity.”
Foltz – “Just didn’t look like the same player today. She made the game look easy yesterday. Today, nothing came easy.”
Rankin – “My mystery woman has done it again, Michelle Wie. Just when you think that whatever she is doing is working for her, it has not worked for her today.”
Stupples – “Following up a great round with another one is always really the difficult thing to do because your own expectations are so high from the previous round. You just want to keep it going so you try just a little bit harder.”
Foltz – “She was trying too hard today. She played a great round yesterday. We all know the cliché that it is tough to follow a great one with a good one. Expectations were high, and after a couple of mistakes, she was trying too hard.”
Foltz – “She is just getting steeper and steeper and steeper the more she tries guiding the ball around the course. It makes it really tough off of firm ground to hit the ball with any kind of height or to control the spin.”
Peter Alliss – “Do you think she tries to do everything in the most awkward way she can? Do you think that is part of her makeup?”
Rankin – “I think she is very stubborn. I think if she decides that something is going to work for her until she he just beat over the head constantly that it is not working, she keeps trying. I don’t clearly understand everything she is doing now, but she is hitting the ball well and playing well, and she has even regained distance that she lost a couple of years ago.

On Lydia Ko, 1-under par after two rounds, (2-under par on Friday)
Alliss – “I think when you get a talent like Ko, and you do it on your own and your own way, leave it alone. Thank God nobody coached Lee Trevino. If he had lessons, you’d never have heard of him. Just get back to playing your own game.”
Alliss – “I hope she gets her game back. She was so refreshingly simple. I liked watching her play. Now it seems to becoming complicated.”
Rankin – “It has got to be concerning to her. She missed the cut last week at Dundonald and is struggling to make the cut this week. Something is not right.”
Foltz – “She won’t let on to it too easily, but inside, that has got to be the thought. She has got to be concerned.”
Rankin – “She has to be frustrated. She’ll smile and say the right things, but I know that she has to be frustrated.”
Abbott – “Time and time again she has holed putts when she has needed to.”
Foltz – “She just doesn’t miss a putt when it matters most.”
