NASCAR

NBC Sports Group moves into its fifth week of live 2017 Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series and XFINITY Series racing, with trackside coverage from Pocono Raceway, in Long Pond, Pa., and Iowa Speedway, in Newton, Iowa. NBC Sports Group’s race coverage begins Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBC, with XFINITY Series racing from Iowa’s “Fastest Short Track on the Planet,” and culminates Sunday at 3 p.m. ET on NBCSN, with Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series racing from Pocono’s “Tricky Triangle.”

NBC Sports Group kicks off its Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series coverage from Pocono Raceway this Saturday at 9 a.m. ET on CNBC with first practice, followed by final practice at 11:30 a.m. ET on NBCSN.

Sunday’s coverage begins with qualifying at 11:30 a.m. ET on NBCSN. A special two-hour edition of NASCAR America kicks off at 12:30 p.m. ET on NBCSN, and leads into NBC Sports Group’s pre-race show, Countdown to Green, at 2:30 p.m. ET. NASCAR Cup Series racing begins at 3 p.m. ET on NBCSN, and is followed by a live on-site NASCAR Cup Series post-race show.

Lead race announcer Rick Allen will pair with Dale Jarrett in one booth to call the race action live. Meanwhile, Steve Letarte and Jeff Burton, will contribute deep-dive analysis, from a second booth, using animation graphics and telestrator technology.

Krista Voda will host pre- and post-race coverage alongside Kyle Petty and Jarrett.

Pre-race coverage will include a special “Driver to Driver” interview between Burton and Matt Kenseth, discussing prospects for Kenseth’s 2018 season. Kyle Petty will interview car owner Felix Sabates, about his incredible return to NASCAR, after falling into a coma one year ago. In addition, Rutledge Wood will give an all-access look at how teams are preparing for qualifying, and a race, on the same day.

Marty Snider, Kelli Stavast and Dave Burns will report from pit road. In addition, features reporter Wood will bring viewers inside “The Tricky Triangle.”

NBC Sports Group’s XFINITY Series coverage from Iowa Speedway begins today on NBCSN, with first practice at 5 p.m. ET, followed by final practice at 6:30 p.m. ET. Coverage continues Saturday, with XFINITY Series qualifying at 12 p.m. ET on NBCsports.com and the NBC Sports app. Beginning at 12:30 p.m. ET, coverage of qualifying will also be available on NBCSN. Pre-race Countdown to Green coverage starts at 3 p.m. ET on NBC. Race coverage begins at 3:30 p.m. ET on NBC.

Dave Burns calls the XFINITY action from Iowa Speedway, alongside analyst Kyle Petty. NASCAR on NBC’s Parker Kligerman joins Snider as a pit-reporter for Saturday afternoon’s race.

 

INDYCAR

NBC Sports Group continues its 2017 Verizon IndyCar Series coverage highlighted by the Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET on CNBC.

NBCSN will televise live qualifying on Saturday at 2 p.m. ET. Live coverage of the Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio will air on Sunday at 3 p.m. ET on CNBC, followed by an encore presentation of the race on Sunday at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

Kevin Lee (play-by-play) will call the action alongside analysts Paul Tracy and Townsend Bell. Reporters Jon Beekhuis, Katie Hargitt, Robin Miller and Anders Krohn will report from the pits.

 

FORMULA ONE NBC Sports Group continues its Formula One coverage highlighted by the Formula One Hungarian Grand Prix on Sunday at 7:30 a.m. ET on NBCSN.

Coverage begins Friday on NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app at 4 a.m. ET with Practice 1, followed by Practice 2 at 8 a.m. ET on NBCSN. NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app will stream Practice 3 on Saturday at 5 a.m. ET, prior to NBCSN’s live coverage of qualifying at 8 a.m. ET. Live pre-race coverage from begins Sunday at 7 a.m. ET on NBCSN, followed by the Hungarian Grand Prix at 7:30 a.m. ET, and post-race coverage on F1 Extra at 10 a.m. ET.

NBC Sports Group’s lead F1 broadcast team of Leigh Diffey (play-by-play), veteran analyst David Hobbs, and analyst Steve Matchett will call the action. F1 insider Will Buxton will report on-site from Hungary.

 

MOTORSPORTS

The Lucas Oil Pro Motocross Championship continues with the Washougal National from Washougal, Wash., this Saturday at 6 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

Veteran play-by-play voice Jason Weigandt, analyst Grant Langston, and pit reporter Georgia Lindsay will call this weekend’s action.

 

HORSE RACING NBC presents live coverage of the Breeders’ Cup Challenge Series Win And You’re In – Presented By Lane’s End Farm And America’s Best Racing from Monmouth Park this Sunday, July 30, at 5 p.m. ET Wood Memorial winner and Belmont Stakes runner-up Irish War Cry highlights the one-hour program that includes the $1 million Betfair.com Haskell Invitational.

Laffit Pincay III hosts the Haskell broadcast, and will be joined by analyst Jerry Bailey, analyst Randy Moss, reporter/handicapper Eddie Olczyk, and reporter Kenny Rice. Daily Racing Form’s Matt Bernier will also serve as a Handicapper.

 

PROFESSIONAL FIGHTERS LEAGUE

NBCSN presents Professional Fighters League action this Saturday, July 29, live at 9 p.m. ET, , highlighted by undefeated Andre “The Bull” Harrison (16-0) defending his featherweight title against Steven “Avenger” Rodriguez (10-2) from XFINITY Arena at Everett in Everett, Wash.

The co-main event features Yushin ‘Thunder’ Okami (31-10) taking on Andre Lobato (25-6) in a welterweight bout. Okami has won seven his last 10 bouts, most recently against Paul Bradley in WSOF34. Lobato returns to the octagon after a two-year hiatus.

Saturday’s card also features a welterweight bout between Jake Shields (31-9-1) and Danny “Dee1” Davis Jr. (13-11-1), and Rex “T-Rex” Harris (10-2) vs. Bruno “Carioca” Santos (15-2) in a middleweight bout.

Play-by-play announcer Mike Corey calls the action alongside analysts Kayla Harrison, Bas Rutten and Randy Couture – who returns to his hometown of Everett to call Saturday’s event.

 

FINA WORLD AQUATICS CHAMPIONSHIPS
NBC Sports Group continues its 240+ hours of coverage of the FINA World Aquatics Championships from Budapest, Hungary, this weekend, with live coverage on NBC this Saturday, July 29, at 2 p.m. ET and Sunday, July 30, at 3 p.m. ET. Coverage includes swimming, diving, and water polo on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA.

Live water polo coverage continues Monday with women’s quarterfinals matches at 2:30 p.m. ET, followed by men’s quarterfinals on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. ET and 2:30 p.m. ET. Wednesday’s coverage features the U.S. vs. Russia in the women’s semifinals at 2:30 p.m. ET, followed by the men’s semifinals on Thursday at 2:30 p.m. ET. The women’s bronze medal match takes place Friday at 9 a.m. ET, followed by the gold medal match at 2:30 p.m. ET, while the men’s bronze and gold medal matches will air the same times on Saturday. The U.S. women are the two-time reigning Olympic gold medalists.

This week’s diving coverage begins Saturday at 5 p.m. ET with the women’s 20m high dive final, followed by the men’s 27m high dive final on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET. NBC Sports Group continues its coverage of the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships from Vienna, Austria, with pool play tomorrow and Sunday live at 11 a.m. ET on Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA. Coverage of the tournament continues through Sunday, August 6 across NBC, NBCSN and Olympic Channel: Home of Team USA.

Chris Marlowe (play-by-play) and Kevin Wong (analyst) will provide commentary for this week’s FIVB Beach Volleyball World Championships coverage.

 

GYMNASTICS – U.S. CLASSIC
