ANAHEIM DUCKS AT NASHVILLE PREDATORS – GAME 6 AT 8 P.M. ET ON NBCSN – PREDATORS LEAD 3-2

Nashville moved within one win of its first Stanley Cup Final appearance in franchise history with a 3-1 win in Game 5 in Anaheim on Saturday night. Goaltender Pekka Rinne made 32 saves for the Predators, and rookie Pontus Aberg scored his first career playoff goal in the third period to put Nashville ahead for good. Filip Forsberg assisted on Aberg’s goal, and has recorded a point in six straight games.

Both teams have dealt with injuries to key players in the series. Nashville’s Ryan Johansen and Mike Fisher missed Game 5, and Johansen will miss the rest of the postseason. Anaheim was without Patrick Eaves and Rickard Rakell in Game 5, and goaltender John Gibson left Game 5 after the first period due to injury.

The Ducks have not won a game in which they faced elimination on the road since 2006. The Predators have won 10 of their last 11 playoff games at home, but lost to the Ducks last Thursday in Game 4 in overtime by a score of 3-2.

The Predators’ 3-1 win in Game 5 on NBC produced a 13.3 rating in Nashville, the highest-rated Predators game ever in the market on an NBCUniversal network. The last four Ducks-Predators games have been the highest-rated ever in Nashville (Game 2; 10.9, Game 3; 10.7; Game 4, 11.2).
