STAMFORD, Conn.May 22, 2017 – NBCSN’s daily motorsports show, NASCAR America, gears up for this weekend’s “Biggest Day in Motorsports,” with a week of studio coverage highlighted by Wednesday’s live announcement of the 2018 NASCAR Hall of Fame class, and Friday’s two-and-half-hour NASCAR America Motorsports Special.

 

This Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. ET, NASCAR America will announce the NASCAR Hall of Fame Class of 2018 and winner of the 2018 Landmark Award for Outstanding Contributions to NASCAR. NASCAR America host Krista Voda (@KristaVoda), analyst Jeff Burton (@JeffBurton), and NBCSports.com’s lead motorsports writer Nate Ryan (@Nateryan) report live from the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Charlotte, N.C., as five inductees from the list of 20 nominees are chosen for enshrinement. NASCAR dignitaries, 2017 Hall of Fame inductee and 40-time Premier Series race winner Mark Martin and members of the 2018 class will join NASCAR America live on-set. This year’s list of nominees features a diverse group of drivers, owners, crew chiefs and broadcasters including 19-time NASCAR Cup Series race winner Buddy Baker, four-time NASCAR Cup Series championship car owner Joe Gibbs, and legendary broadcaster Ken Squier.

 

NASCAR AMERICA MOTORSPORTS SPECIAL PREVIEWS SUNDAY’S FORMULA ONE, INDYCAR AND NASCAR TRIPLE-HEADER, FRIDAY AT 3:30 P.M. ET

 

NBCSN surrounds Memorial Day Weekend’s “Biggest Day in Motorsports” with its annual two-and-half-hour NASCAR America Motorsports Special, this Friday at 3:30 p.m. ET. Coverage will highlight the latest news and updates ahead of Sunday’s F1 Monaco Grand Prix, which will air live on NBC at 7:30 a.m. ET, as well as the Indianapolis 500 and NASCAR Coca-Cola 600. Features include an inside look at Will Power’s season-changing victory in the IndyCar Grand Prix at Indianapolis Motor Speedway following months of diminished performance due to family issues, an examination of the ongoing wheel-to-wheel rivalry between Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel, and a retirement feature on seven-time AMA champion Ryan Dungey.

 

Friday’s show also features the best of Scan All, including highlights from the best radio scanner moments of the 2017 season to date, and a feature with Hendrick Motorsports’ former pit crew coach, Greg Morin, on his new role assisting combat veterans at the Boulder Crest Retreat. Analyst Parker Kligerman (@pkligerman) takes viewers lap-by-lap through all three race courses in a special simulator segment.

 

NASCAR America’s Carolyn Manno (@Carolynmanno) will host Friday’s motorsports special from NBC Sports Group’s headquarters in Stamford, Conn. alongside analysts Kyle Petty (@Kylepetty) and Kligerman. In addition, the show will include contributions from Steve Letarte (@Steveletarte) from NBC Sports Charlotte, Dave Burns (@tvdaveburns) from Charlotte Motor Speedway, Marty Snider (@heymartysnider) and Ray Evernham (@rayevernham) from Indianapolis Motor Speedway, and Leigh Diffey (@leighdiffey) from Monaco.

 

NBCSN PRESENTS NASCAR K&N PRO SERIES WEST FROM ORANGE SHOW FRIDAY AT 8 P.M. ET

 

NBCSN presents the sixth race of the NASCAR K&N Pro Series West season, from Orange Show Speedway, Friday at 8 p.m. ET. Dave Burns and guest analyst Brandon McReynolds provide commentary, as third-generation NASCAR driver Todd Gilliland seeks his fifth consecutive trip to victory lane.

NBC Sports Group’s NASCAR programming also includes NBCSN’s daily motorsports show NASCAR America, coverage of NASCAR’s Awards Ceremonies, the annual NASCAR Hall of Fame induction ceremony, as well as original programming specials. NBC Sports Group concluded the 2016 NASCAR season presenting more hours of trackside coverage and programming than ever before.

 

In 2016, NBC Sports Group continued to innovate and entertain race fans with 630 hours of NASCAR programming including interactive watch parties, documentary specials and new shoulder programming, in addition to its 366 live trackside hours from 22 different states. In 2016 overall consumption of NASCAR content on NBC Sports’ Digital properties was up 50% vs. 2015 and NASCAR on NBC’s social platforms generated a triple-digit increase in video views, as well as double-digit increase in fan base and impressions compared to the 2015 season.
