STAMFORD, Conn. – May 15, 2017Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins look to even the Eastern Conference Final with a Game 2 victory tonight, when they host Erik Karlsson and the Ottawa Senators at 8 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Pre-game coverage on NBCSN begins with NHL Live at 7:30 p.m. ET.

John Forslund (play-by-play), U.S. Hockey Hall of Fame member Eddie Olczyk (analyst), and Emmy Award-winner Pierre McGuire (‘Inside-the-Glass analyst) will have the call from PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh, Pa. Kathryn Tappen anchors the studio alongside analysts and former players Jeremy Roenick and Keith Jones.

OTTAWA SENATORS AT PITTSBURGH PENGUINS – GAME 2 AT 8 P.M. ET ON NBCSN – SENATORS LEAD 1-0

Ottawa took Game 1 by a score of 2-1 in overtime on Saturday night in Pittsburgh to improve to 6-1 in overtime during the 2017 postseason. Bobby Ryan assisted on the Senators’ first goal in the first period, and netted the game-winner on a breakaway 4:59 into overtime. Ryan totaled 25 points in 62 games this season (13g/12a), but has already posted 11 points in 13 games in the playoffs (5g/6a).

Evgeni Malkin scored the only goal for Pittsburgh and now has 148 career postseason points, moving him ahead of Jaromir Jagr for third on the Penguins all-time list. Ottawa has held Pittsburgh to one goal in each of their last three meetings dating back to the regular season, and has won each of those games.

 

PREDATORS CONTINUE TO DELIVER RATINGS RECORDS IN NASHVILLE

Last night’s Game 2 Western Conference Final matchup between the Predators and Ducks delivered a 10.9 rating in Nashville to rank as the highest-rated Predators game ever on the networks of NBC in the market. This marks the third time this postseason that Nashville has set this record, including Games 3 and 6 of the second round.
