(2) OTTAWA SENATORS AT (WC1) NEW YORK RANGERS – TONIGHT AT 7 P.M. ET ON NBCSN – SENATORS LEAD 2-0

The Senators stunned the Rangers in Game 2 on Saturday evening, erasing a 5-3 deficit in the final 3:19 of regulation before winning the game in double overtime. Jean-Gabriel Pageau scored four goals in the Senators’ overtime victory, including the tying goal late in regulation and the overtime game-winner. Pageau is just the second player in NHL history to cap a four-goal game in the postseason with an overtime game-winner (Joffrey Lupul; ANA; 5/9/06).

Henrik Lundqvist allowed all six goals in the loss, the fourth time he has allowed six goals in a game in the past three postseasons. The Rangers blew leads of 3-1, 4-2, and 5-3 in the loss. Defenseman Brady Skjei scored twice for New York, and became the first Rangers defenseman to do so in a playoff game since Brian Leetch in 1995. The Rangers return home tonight where they won two of three games against Montreal in the first round.

(3) ST. LOUIS BLUES AT (WC2) NASHVILLE PREDATORS – TONIGHT AT 9:30 P.M. ET ON NBCSN – PREDATORS LEAD 2-1

The Predators took a 2-1 series lead with a 3-1 victory in Game 3 on Sunday afternoon in Nashville. Predators defensemen have accounted for seven goals in seven postseason games this year, including goals from Ryan Ellis and Roman Josi in Game 3. Nashville had 181 points from defensemen during the regular season, tied with San Jose for the most in the NHL. Nashville has won seven consecutive home playoff games dating back to last season.

Alexander Steen scored for St. Louis in Sunday’s Game 3 loss. Blues goaltender Jake Allen has given up nine goals in the first three games of the series, after allowing just eight goals in five games against Minnesota in the first round.

2017 STANLEY CUP PLAYOFFS AVERAGING 829,000 VIEWERS, BEST IN THREE YEARS & UP 3% VS. 2016

Midway through the second round, NBC Sports Group’s coverage of the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs across NBC, NBCSN, CNBC, USA Network, NBCSports.com, and the NBC Sports app continues to produce viewership milestones and year-over-year increases.

Total Audience Delivery (TAD) for NBC Sports’ coverage of the first 49 games of the 2017 playoffs (April 12-30) averaged 829,000 viewers, the best in three years and up 3% vs. 2017 (808,000). TAD measures consumption across multiple platforms, combining the average minute audience for television and digital. The increase comes despite the participation of five Canadian teams in the 2017 playoffs (with two advancing to the second round), and zero first-round Game 7s. Last year there were zero Canadian teams in the playoffs and two Game 7s in the first round. Click here for more information.

NHL ON NBC ‘INSIDE-THE-GLASS’ ANALYST BRIAN BOUCHER IS “MR. OVERTIME” IN 2017 POSTSEASON

NHL on NBC “Inside-the-Glass” analyst Brian Boucher has been working overtime in the first half of the 2017 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Seven of nine games that Boucher called in the first two rounds went into overtime, including three that went to double overtime – most recently, the Rangers-Senators 2OT thriller on Saturday. All nine games that Boucher has called have been one-goal games. Boucher will be on the call for tonight’s Blues-Predators Game 4 – a series which has not yet had an overtime game.

Boucher has called a total of 131:15 minutes of overtime in those seven games – more than two additional games. If there’s anyone who’s built for overtime marathons, it’s Boucher. He was the winning goaltender in the longest NHL game in the modern era, when he stopped 57 of 58 shots in Philadelphia’s 5 OT win against Pittsburgh on May 4, 2000, alongside Flyers teammate Keith Jones.
