NBCSN, CNBC, USA NETWORK, NBCSPORTS.COM, AND THE NBC SPORTS APP TO PROVIDE SIDE-BY-SIDE COVERAGE OF FIRST-ROUND GAMES IN LOCAL MARKETS FOR FIRST TIME

In addition, NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app will provide streaming coverage of every first-round game. Prior to this season, NBC Sports’ national first-round cable telecasts were blacked out in all local U.S. markets. (Local television and streaming blackouts will still apply in Boston and Pittsburgh in the first round).

NHL Live, hosted by Kathryn Tappen, with analysts Mike Milbury and Keith Jones, begins at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN. Paul Burmiester, Jeremy Roenick and Anson Carter will anchor USA Network’s studio coverage.

Game coverage starts on USA Network at 7 p.m. ET, when the Canadiens look to even their series with the Rangers. New York won Game 1 by a score of 2-0 led by a shutout performance in net by Henrik Lundqvist.

NHL Network presents Game 2 of the first-round series between the Penguins and Blue Jackets at 7 p.m. ET. Pittsburgh took Game 1 by a score of 3-1 on Wednesday, as Marc-Andre Fleury made 31 saves for the Penguins after Matt Murray was injured in warmups.

NBCSN’s doubleheader begins at 8 p.m. ET, as the Wild look to draw even in Game 2, after Jake Allen’s 51-save performance in St. Louis’ Game 1 overtime win. Edmonton hosts San Jose at 10:30 p.m. ET with the Sharks holding a 1-0 series advantage following a 3-2 overtime win on Wednesday.

SATURDAY, APRIL 15

NBC opens its 2017 Stanley Cup Playoff coverage on Saturday at 3 p.m. ET, as the Senators host the Bruins in Game 2 of their series. Boston took Game 1 by a score of 2-1 on Wednesday, as Brad Marchand netted the game-winner late in the third period.

Coverage shifts to NBCSN at 7 p.m. ET when the Maple Leafs face the Capitals, following Washington’s 3-2 overtime victory in Game 1. Justin Williams scored twice for the Caps, and Tom Wilson scored his first career playoff goal in overtime.

NBC’s Saturday night primetime matchup features Patrick Kane and the Blackhawks as they try and draw even with P.K. Subban and the Nashville Predators in Game 2 of their series. Nashville defeated Chicago 1-0 on Thursday night in Game 1, as Pekka Rinne made 29 saves to give the Predators the road victory. NBCSN caps the night with Game 2 of Flames-Ducks at 10:30 p.m. ET.
