27th Season of Notre Dame Football on NBC Kicks Off with Notre Dame Hosting Temple on Saturday, September 2, at 3:30 p.m. ET
STAMFORD, Conn. – March 2, 2017 – NBC Sports Group and Notre Dame will kick off the 27th season of Notre Dame Football on NBC, when the Fighting Irish host the Temple Owls on Saturday, September 2, at 3:30 p.m. ET, from Notre Dame Stadium in South Bend, Ind.
NBC Sports’ coverage of the 2017 Notre Dame Football season is highlighted by primetime matchups vs. 2017 Rose Bowl Champion USC on Saturday, October 21, at 7:30 p.m. ET, and Georgia on Saturday, September 9, at 7:30 p.m. ET. Continuing one of college football’s greatest rivalries, this season’s USC – Notre Dame game will mark the 89th time the two storied programs will face each other, with the rivalry dating back to 1926.
In addition, coverage includes games against Miami (OH) on Saturday, September 30, at 5 p.m. ET (NBCSN); NC State on Saturday, October 28, at 3:30 p.m. ET; Wake Forest on Saturday, November 4, at 3:30 p.m. ET; and Navy on Saturday, November 18, at 3:30 p.m. ET. Notre Dame’s matchup with Navy will be the 91st consecutive meeting between the two schools, further extending the record as college football’s longest continuous intersectional rivalry.
