Chicago, IL (February 8, 2017) – CSN Chicago (CSN), the television home for the most games and most comprehensive coverage of the Chicago Blackhawks, Bulls, Cubs and White Sox, continues to delve into the lives of some of the biggest names in Chicago sports with its candid, monthly, one-on-one interview series Inside Look presented by Cadillac.

Debuting Thursday, February 16 at 7:00 PM CT, CSN’s David Kaplan hosts an exclusive one-on-one interview with the recently retired Cubs World Series champion & beloved player/fan favorite: DAVID ROSS.  A dedicated, 15-year MLB standout, which includes his unforgettable final two career years with the northsiders, Ross’ skills in the clubhouse as a mentor to this young and hungry Cubs team were as equally important as his massive contributions on the field.  After assisting the Cubs to their first title in 108 years, the 39-year-old retiree most recently accepted a job in the Cubs front office as Baseball Operations Dept. special assistant.  In this edition of “Inside Look,” Ross discusses everything from being drafted by the LA Dodgers in 1998, to joining the Cubs as free agent in December of 2014, the emotions of playing his last game at Wrigley Field, to the celebratory moment of being hoisted on fellow teammates’ shoulders following Game 7, and much more.

In addition, viewers are urged to check out CSN’s website, CSNChicago.com, for additional interview content never before seen on TV.  Fans will also be able to watch every Inside Look guest interview online after it debuts on CSN.  CSN will also re-air Inside Look with David Ross on the following dates/times: Thu, Feb. 16 at 10:00 PM (on CSN+HD) – Fri, Feb. 17 at 1:30 PM and 10:00 PM (on CSN+HD) – Mon, Feb. 20 at 7:30 AM (on CSN+HD) & 9:00 PM – Tue, Feb. 21 at 1:30 PM – Sat, Feb. 25 at 10:00 PM – Sun, Feb. 26 at 6:00 PM – Tue, Feb. 28 at 5:00 PM (on CSN+HD) – Fri, Mar. 3 at 11:30 PM & Sat, Mar. 4 at 5:00 PM. Note the following quotes from Inside Look with David Ross presented by Cadillac premiering Thursday, February 16 at 7:00 PM on CSN:

Ross on his 15-year MLB career:
“I have played for a lot of teams…a lot of years. I know a lot of people want to be a superstar and stay with one organization, but I have been shaped by so many different teammates and organizations and coaches and I am very thankful for all the experiences I went through with each team.”

Ross on his last game at Wrigley Field (World Series, Game 5):
“I was running the outfield and the fans were going crazy and I said ‘hold it in’…I felt it all wanting to come out, but I was trying to stay focused on the task at hand.  I was singing loud to get the energy out.  I was so excited to be out there, but it was emotional as in ‘this may be it’ and trying to put in perspective and if we lost. Johnny (Lester) said something to me on the way in: ‘It has been fun’ (tears)…crazy.”

Ross on the celebratory moment of being hoisted on fellow teammates’ shoulders following Game 7:
“These guys they treat me (crying) so great.  God, I cry so much.  They lift me up and carry me off the field.  It’s like I’m Peyton Manning or John Elway. We win the World Series and I get carried off the field…a back-up catcher…a role player…a guy who just tries to find his way and wants to win and just to be part of something special.  I didn’t know what to do with my hands.  It was such a cool thing for me and I don’t know that I deserved any of that, but these guys have treated me phenomenally and for them to do that showed a lot of love.  For them to show the world that stuff, it amazes me and I still cannot wrap my brain about it.  Who gets carried off the field for the Cubs and why was it me?  Says a lot about them, just how much they care about me.  It is overwhelming.”
