ORLANDO, Fla. (Dec. 7, 2016) – Jack Nicklaus leads a field of 13 World Golf Hall-of-Famers competing at the PNC Father/Son Challenge. Coverage will air on both Golf Channel and NBC, Saturday-Sunday, Dec. 10-11. Jason Dufner and Brandt Snedeker are set to defend their 2015 title at the Franklin Templeton Shootout, where Lexi Thompson joins the field to become just the second LPGA player to compete in the event’s history. 2016 Ryder Cup participants Patrick Reed, Justin Rose and Danny Willett headline the field at the UBS Hong Kong Open, where Rose will defend. And the Ladies European Tour (LET) stages the Omega Dubai Ladies Masters, as world No. 4 Shanshan Feng defends.

Hall-of-Fame field: Eighteen-time major champion Jack Nicklaus headlines a field of 20 two-person teams comprised of 13 World Golf Hall-of-Famers, golf legends and their children.
Format & qualifications: The event format is contested as a 36-hole, two-person scramble. To qualify for the PNC Father/Son Challenge, participants must have won either a major championship or THE PLAYERS in their career. The professional’s partner must not currently hold a Tour card, and while the majority of partners in the history of the event have been the sons of the golf legends, the family-themed tournament also extends to daughter and grandson partners.
PNC Father/Son Pro-Am airing on Golf Channel at 5 p.m. ET on Friday: On Friday at 5 p.m. ET, Golf Channel will televise the PNC Father/Son Challenge Pro-Am, featuring an inside-the-ropes perspective with several World Golf Hall-of-Famers and their children as they prepare for Round 1 on Saturday.
Wadkins’ defend: Lanny and Tucker Wadkins defeated Larry/Drew Nelson, Fred/Taylor Funk and Davis III/Dru Love with an eagle on the first playoff hole.
